    Mrs. Emil Jens (Helena Sievert) 27 W. Foster St. Age 82, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Sunday. She was born August 13, 1881 in the Town of Freedom, then lived in the Town of Center until 1946, when she moved to Appleton. She was a member of the Freedom Moravian Church and the Ladies of the parish. Mrs. Jens is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ira (Ruth) Ballheim and Mrs. Harry (Luella) Brockman, both of Appleton; Mrs. Curt (Estelle Wiseley and Miss Emma Jens both of Concord, Calif.; Mrs. Russell (Alice) Hunsinger, St Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Willis (Ber nice) Uhlenbrauch, Chilton; six sons, Walter, La Grange, Ill., Wilmer, Milwaukee; Lawrence Hartford, Wisc.; Elmer, Gilbert and William, all of Appleton one sister, Alma Sievert, App- leton; 19 grandchildren and 18 great - grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday at the Freedom Moravian Church with Rev. Er- vin Boettcher officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wed- nesday and then at the church until the hour of the service.

    Alice J. Hunsinger, 95, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in Concord, Calif., as the result of a stroke. She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in the Town of Center, to Emil and Helen (Sievert) Jens. Alice was one of 12 children. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Concord, Calif. Alice was formerly an Office Manager of the Appleton Montgomery Ward Store and later transferred to Chicago, then to St. Paul, Minn. Alice was a former member of the St. Paul Business and Professional Women's Club.
    Alice married Russell Hunsinger on Aug. 31, 1952. They lived in St. Paul many years until Russell's retirement. After retiring, Russell volunteered for SCORE and they traveled to Europe, South America and many states of the United States, finally retiring in California.
    Russell preceded her in death in March of 1990. Others who preceded her were her parents; six brothers, Walter, Elmer, Lawrence, Wilmer (Keno), Gilbert and William; three sisters, Ruth Ballheim, Luella Brockman and Emma Jens.
    Survivors are sisters, Estelle (Curtis) Wiseley, Concord, Calif.; and Bernice Uhlenbrauck, Appleton; sisters-in-law, Isabelle Jens and Joyce Jens, both of Appleton; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
    Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Vicki Jens Page will be officiating.
    As per Alice's request, in lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Freedom Moravian Church.

    Enlisted in the Army 26 Sep 1942 for the duration of the war plus six months. At the time of enlistement his civilian occupation was automobile serviceman and he was still single with no dependents. Height was 67 inches, weight was 152 lbs. He served in the 33rd Division Artillery HQ Co. as a telephone lineman and switchboard operator. He was sent to the South Pacific, serving in Hawaii, New Guinea, Mouti, the Philliipines and Japan over the next 32 months. He was honorably discharged at Camp McCoy, WI on Dec 16, 1945 and went into construction trades.

    Jeffrey "Jeff" L. Jens, 55, De Pere, went to his eternal rest on Sunday, March 30, 2014 while enjoying time with his family and friends. Jeff was born on June 23, 1958 in Appleton, the son of Ron and Ila Mae (Plamann) Jens. Jeff attended Shiocton High School and U.W. Oshkosh. On April 29, 1995 he married the former Carie Guns. Jeff had a heart of gold. His happiest times were watching his kids play sports, spending time with family, hunting with his brothers, getting in a round of golf, cutting his lawn, listening to the Beatles, calling The Fan Sports Radio, watching PGA, NCAA and NFL, being with the Denmark families and checking in on others.
    Jeff is survived by his loving wife Carie, his children Gunner, Brady and McCartney, his mother Ila Mae Jens, his siblings Vicki, Jim (Deb), Steve (Sharla), Jodie (Steve), Robin (Mike), Todd (Stacy), his mother-in-law Arleen Guns, Carie's siblings Margaret (Wayne), Lucy (Pat), Wally (Kitty), (Janet), Bernice (Tom), Shirley (Bob), Chuck (Jean), Bev (Lyle), Bill (Pam), Julie (Mark), Joe (Kathy), Eileen (Al), Tom (Mary), Cliff, Amy (John). He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father Ron Jens, his father-in-law Ray Guns, in-laws Dave Guns and Debbie Guns.
    The wake will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Mary of Glenmore, 5832 Big Apple Road. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 9:30 A.M. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the church until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David Pleier officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton
    There will be a memorial fund established for his children. Bring your stories of remembrance to be able to share with his children for a memory book, to keep his memory close to their hearts.
