    Elna E. Wendt, age 87, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday August 3, 200 6. She was born in the Town of Center on November 13, 1918, to John and De lia (Meyer) Uhlenbrauck. On November 16, 1940, she married Gilbert Wend t. Elna was active in the Women of the Church group, Bible study and volun teer activities at Grace Lutheran. She had a lifelong interest in flower a nd vegetable gardening, crafts and sewing. She was also a member of the lo cal Pythian Sisters. She worked for many years at Appleton Extended Care ( now Franciscan Care and Rehabilitation).Elna is survived by her husband, Gilbert; two sons: Jack Wendt, Appleto n; Mark (Michele Williams) Wendt, Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren: Jam ie Williams, Tami (Alan) Pickett and Thomas (Linda) Wendt; great-grandchil dren: Sarah Johnson, Natasha Johnson and Joanna Pickett. Elna is also surv ived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents John and Delia Uhlenbrauck; a bro ther, Donald Uhlenbrauck; two half-brothers: Lawrence and Lester Schroede r.Funeral services will be on Monday, August 7, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Chur ch, 900 Mason Street, Appleton, WI, at 11 a.m. with Rev.     Arlene Adelia Kline, 89, Appleton, passed away on Tuesday November 13, 2012 at ThedaClark Medical Center. Arlene was born on September 6, 1923 in Center, WI to Arnold and Edna (Uhlenbrauck) Kahler. She was a 1941 graduate of Appleton High School. On June 19, 1943 she married Allen R. Kline and they enjoyed over 58 years together. Allen preceded her in death on September 24, 2001.
    She was a proud founding member of the Chaminade Chorus, sang in the Faith Lutheran Choir, the Neenah Y Not Choir and the Heritage Choir. She also enjoyed playing piano for friends at The Heritage. She loved playing cards and her daily swim at the Y. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the church's Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 38, Ladies Auxiliary.
    She will be sadly missed by four children: Darlene (Paul) Given, Hartford, and their two children, Carol (Paul) Kutella and Rebecca Greene; Richard Kline, Menasha, and his two children, Connie (Troy) Hoehne and Chris Kline; Joan (Patrick) Nee, La Crosse, and their two children, Brendan and Devin Nee; and Ted (Robin) Kline, Minneapolis, and their son, Jay (Christian) Kline. Arlene was blessed with 6 great grandchildren: Trevor, Tori, and Carter Hoehne; Ben and Annika Kutella; and Zoe Kline. Arlene will be remembered by her sister Germaine Ethridge, Pasadena and her son Geoffrey as well as other relatives and friends.
    Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 E. Glendale Avenue on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 9:30-11:00 am. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 at the church with Rev. James Wiebel officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.valleyfh.com.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    Jack Wendt, 66, Appleton, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 6, 1943, in Appleton, to Gilbert and Elna (Uhlenbrauck) Wendt. Jack taught at Freedom High School until retiring in 2007.
    He is survived by his father, Gilbert, Appleton; brother, Mark (Michelle Williams) Wendt, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Tami (Allen) Pickett, Lancaster, Ky.; a son, Thomas (Linda) Wendt, Berea, Ky.; four grandchildren, Sarah (Zack) Short, Natasha Johnson, Joanna and Connlee Pickett. He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends, Paul (Leanne) Line, Paul (Fonda) Larson and Pete Pfundtner.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Elna.
    Funeral services for Jack will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev. Judy Deckert officiating. Friends may visit the family Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and again Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
    The family wishes to thank the staffs of the Martha Siekman Center and Cherry Meadows for their loving and exceptional care of Jack and his family.
