    Obituary:
Mignon, John "Jack" - Jack Mignon, 78, Appleton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Appleton on Oct. 6, 1931, son of the late Alex and Loretta (Deltgen) Mignon. Upon graduation from St. John's High School in Little Chute, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. Jack was employed by Miller Electric for 38 years before retiring in 1994. Jack was a member of St. Joseph's Parish. In his retirement Jack spent many hours pursuing his passion of golf and would find any reason to hit the links, especially with his buddy Cliff. He also enjoyed his time volunteering at St. Joe's Food Pantry. He was an avid sports fan and reader.
Jack is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jannette; four children: John (Cate), Jane (Rollie) Hansen, Jim (Laurie), and Jodi; seven grandchildren: Christopher and Katie Hansen, Alex, Allison and Kari Mignon, and Emily and Sadie Mignon; a brother Jerry (Bernie); a sister-in-law Alice; a brother-in-law Bill (Terri) West; a sister-in-law Mary Helen (Ken) Walbrun; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gordon, Donald, and Raymond (Hap); and two sisters, June Potter and Helen Dewey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of Mass on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for St. Joe's Food Pantry has been established in Jack's name.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Lewandowski, Dr. Lauren Bellg, Dr. John Swanson, the wonderful staff on the 2nd & 3rd floors at Appleton Medical Center; and especially the hospice care unit for all of their help, care, and concern.
