    Mary Roemer Kimberly
    Age 85, passed away peacefully, after a long illness. Mary was born on March 17, 1923 in Darboy daughter of the late John and Lucina Wyngaard Berben. She married Clarence Roemer on April 15, 1943. He preceded her in death in January of 1996. Mary enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Patricia Ronald Jansen, Kimberly; Kathleen Joseph Ryba, Darboy; Debra Steven Larson, Waukesha; Mary Jean "Jeannie" Dan Van Cuyk, Kaukauna; and her daughter-in-law, Janice Roemer. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Terri, Todd, Eric, Adam, Darrick, Jennifer, Amanda, Jessie, Sara, Joshua, Jacquline, Joey, and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Wyatt, Skye, Nate, Emily, Kaden, Aryia, Anthony, Sam, Reagan, Steven, Evan, and Emma. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Michael Roemer, and her brothers and sisters.
    The Funeral Mass for Mary will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. KIMBERLY AVE. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial is being established.

    Lawrence Arts, of Elcho, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at his home on Post Lake. He was 76 years old. He was born on October 30, 1936 in Kaukauna, a son of Lawrence and Minnie (Berben) Arts. He married Rosemary "Scottie" Campbell on November 3, 1962 at Bellwood, Illinois. She survives.
    He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School with the class of 1954.
    After high school he worked at the Thilmany Mill in Kaukauna. He served in the United States Army from September of 1959 to September 1961 working in communications.
    Mr. Arts worked as a telecommunication main office equipment installer for 30 years at several phone companies including Western Electric and AT&T.
    He spent summer weekends and vacations at Post Lake beginning in 1972. Following retirement he spent the summer months at Post Lake and wintered in Mesa Arizona.
    His hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking.
    Survivors including his wife are two sons James (Kathleen) Arts, Oconomowoc, David Arts, San Diego, California; a daughter Linda Arts, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two granddaughters Kassandra and Maitlin Arts;
    two sisters Shirley (William) Flynn, Kaukauna, Marty Nitkowski, Mesa, Arizona.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Carol Geraghty.
    A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho with Jeremiah Worman officiating.
    Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church.

    Patricia "Pat" "Patsy" Jansen, God called Pat home on Friday, May 29, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born in November of 1947 in Appleton to the late Clarence and Mary (Berben) Roemer.
    Pat graduated from Kimberly High School in 1966. On April 9, 1976, Pat married Ron Jansen at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly, and together they raised their loving children.
    Throughout her life Pat loved spending time with her grandchildren. Pat and Ron would take their grandchildren on mini vacations to the Dells and Bay Beach. Pat enjoyed going on autumn trips to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota to view the fall colors and stop at a few casinos along the way. Pat and Ron always looked forward to spending their annual summer vacations in Las Vegas.
    Over the years Pat worked at various grocery stores in the area. In her younger years, Pat was very active in golf, bowling, and pool leagues. She also liked staying at her brother's cottage with family and friends playing sheepshead. Pat liked a good cook out and watching Packer games.
    Pat was very devoted to her Catholic faith and her family. She would always attend weekend and holy mass. Pat took special care of all her family members. She went above and beyond to ensure all family gatherings left everybody feeling happy and full. Pat always put her family member's needs ahead of hers. Over her lifetime Pat was known as a very generous person. Pat will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
    Patricia is survived by her husband Ron, children; Darrick (Kerri) Jansen, Kaukauna, and Jessica (Todd) Finch, Menasha, daughter-in-law, Amy Jansen, Combined Locks, grandchildren; Kaden, Ariya, Nathaniel, Alex, Cole, Evan, Skye, Emily, Anthony, Samuel, and Brooklyn, sisters; Kathy (Joe) Ryba, Debra (Steve) Larson, Jeanie (Dan) Van Cuyk, brother-in-law, Dennis Jansen, sisters-in-law; Jan Roemer, Diane Jansen and Susan Jansen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her son Todd Jansen, a brother Michael Roemer, a brother-in-law James Jansen, her parents, Mary and Clarence Roemer, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Archie Jansen.
    The funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 12:00 PM at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave with Fr Bob Kollath officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

    Sally A. Berben, age 61, of Appleton, passed away at Cherry Meadows on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Sally was born on July 19, 1953, in Appleton, to the late Patrick and Marianne (Spierings) Berben. She was a graduate of Holy Angels Grade School in Darboy, Kimberly High School in 1971, and graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay in 1975 with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science. Sally began her career at the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin, and was later employed at Integrated Paper Services (IPS), and retired as Lawrence University's Chemistry Department Laboratory Supervisor in August of 2013. During her career in chemistry, Sally authored and co-authored a number of technical papers. She enjoyed card making and stamping, was a cat lover, a skilled horseback rider, and an avid fan of audiobooks.

    Survivors include her siblings, Sue Berben, Sandy (Earl) Baumgart and Steve Berben; her nieces and nephews, Nick and Nicole Baumgart and Brittany, Mike and Dylan Berben. She is further survived by her cousin and special friend, Bob Opsteen and the many, many dear friends she made during her lifetime. Sally was preceded in death by her brothers, Dan and Marty, and her infant brother Joseph.

    Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Sally's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her many physicians and caregivers, and to her many friends who comforted her during these past few difficult months.     Specialist Martin J. Berben, age 51, died on Friday, March 28, 2008, at the National Guard Armory in Oshkosh. Marty was born on October 30, 1956, in Appleton, to the late Patrick and Marianne (Spierings) Berben. He proudly served his country for over 19 years in the National Guard, serving recently in Kuwait and Iraq. Marty was an active National Guard member and was eagerly preparing to return to the Middle East to again serve his nation. Marty was well-known for his cooking abilities, especially for gatherings of friends.
    Survivors include his siblings: Sally Berben, Sue Berben, Sandy (Earl) Baumgart, and Steve (Barb) Berben; his nieces and nephews: Nick and Nicole Baumgart, and Brittanny, Mike, and Dylan Berben. Marty is further survived by many special friends.
    He was preceded in death by his brother Dan and an infant brother, Joseph.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name to benefit St. Joseph Food Pantry.

    Flynn, Jeffrey W. Jeffrey W. Flynn, 44, Green Bay, died Thursday evening, January 6, 2005 fo llowing a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in Lena on March 19, 1 960, he is the son of William and Shirley (Arts) Flynn. Jeff was a gradua te of Kaukauna High School and the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Poin t. On September 2, 1989 he married the former Lynn Paczkowski. The coup le owned and operated Cost Cutters in Michigan. Jeff worked for chemical s ales in the paper industry. Most recently he was a real estate agent for L oon Lake Realty. Most importantly Jeff was a devoted husband and fathe r. He enjoyed hunting, sports, and he loved the outdoors and times spe nt up north.     Todd M. Jansen, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. He was born in Appleton on January 15, 1971 the son of Ronald and Patricia (Roemer) Jansen. On June 6, 1998 he married Amy Nechodom at Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly. Todd was hired at Appleton Coated in Combined Locks in 1992 and worked as a clamp tractor driver in the shipping department. He loved golfing and the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were his favorite past times, especially his annual fishing trips with his friends. He was also an avid sports fan including the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Todd was very proud of his family and loved spending time with his children, Kaden and Ariya. Attending their sporting events made him proud. Todd will be remembered for being a wonderful father.
    Todd is survived by his wife, Amy; son, Kaden; daughter, Ariya; parents: Patricia and Ronald Jansen of Kimberly; grandmother, Elizabeth Jansen; brother, Darrick (fiancée, Kerri Keberlein) Jansen of Kaukauna; sister, Jessica (Todd) Finch of Menasha; nephews: Nathaniel and Alex Jansen, Cole and Evan Keberlein, and Anthony and Samuel Finch; niece, Emily Finch; and godchildren: Skye Balster and Jacob Goddake; aunts and uncles: Kathy and Joe Ryba (Todd's godparents), Deb and Steve Larson, Jean and Dan Van Cuyk, Jan Roemer, Diane Jansen, Dennis Jansen, and Sue Jansen; Amy's parents: Mike (Pat) Nechodom and Jean (Vic) De Bruin; brothers-in-law: Chris Nechodom and Brian Nechodom; and Amy's grandmother, Dalores Moser; and many dear and wonderful relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Archie Jansen, and Mary and Clarence Roemer; uncles: Michael Roemer and Jimmy Jansen; and Amy's grandparents: Lloyd Moser and Robert and Lorraine Nechodom.
    The funeral liturgy will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the friends and family who have shown their care and support.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Todd's name is being established for his children.
