I have another list of items that I copied from ance stry.com that I have found to be in conflict with what I was given and wh at I have found for the Peter and Anne Marie HAEN family line.Where did you find the maiden name as Krobmann/Kroburium for Anne Marie, w ife of Peter? The priest at St. George stated he couldn't find any ent ry on her death or burial there, nor could he find a maiden name for he r. She died between the census of 1870 and 1880. He stated he could n ot find any entry on their oldest daughter, Marie Anne/Anne Marie Hae n, b: 1843 in Prussia, that was on the 1850, 1860 census but not on the 18 70 census. I walked the cemetery in 1991 and couldn't locate anythi ng on either of them, just on Peter.My cousin found the Catholic Church census of 1880, where Jacob listed h is parents as Peter and Anne Marie (Morimor) HAEN from Sheboygan County, W I. He said that is how it looked like they spelled her maiden name.I had a Haen in Holland do some checking and he could not tie our Haen wi th any Haen from Xanten. Said the Haan/De Haen crest was from that area b ut could not locate any family with sons named Peter, Mathias, and John He nry. I have been given different areas that they might have came from. P russia is what they all listed on all documents except the ship's manifes t. Middle Russel Brook is what it is suppose to translate to and I cou ld find nothing close to that in Germany or Holland. Prussia is not ve ry close to Holland Mathias passed it down that they were Dutch.Tom Keyes told me a Clemet Rammer had copied the St George church recor ds and so I wrote to him. His relatives preceding him in death include his wife, Adrian na, in 1997; his daughter, Bonnie, in 1968; his son, Gary in 2002 and a gr andson, Joey, in 2001. Joe was born January 14, 1906, in Hollandtown, to t he late John and Anna (Haen) Van De Loo. Joe and Adrianna were marri ed on June 20, 1933, in Kaukauna. He resided the last seven years at the h ome of his late son, Gary and Donna, Kaukauna.Joe lived his entire life in the Kaukauna area, working as a farm hand unt il he started Van De Loo Livestock Sales, at the age of 28 and bought t he present farm in 1941. He retired in 1971, when his son Gary took over t he business, naming it Gary Van De Loo Livestock Sales, Inc. Joe continu ed to ride along to buy and sell cattle and greet customers. In 2002, gran dsons Gary, Jr. and Rick took over the business after their father's untim ely death. Joe was very active as a bank director at F & M Bank of Kaukau na for 30 years, from 1957 to 1987. He was a member of Holy Cross Cathol ic Church, where he worshipped until God called for him. Joe was a 50 ye ar member of the Knights of Columbus, he enjoyed playing cards with his br others and sisters, family members and friends and had a great love of cho colates. He was active in the 4-H and church activities as his children we re growing up. Joe will always be remembered as a caring husband, father a nd grandfather, great grandfather and a good friend to all who knew hi m. Henry Vande Loo, 98, De Pere, passed away Friday morning, March 2, 2007. He was born on Oct. 12, 1908, in Hollandtown, son to the late John and Anna (Haen) Vande Loo. He married Sadie Gerrits on Sept. 24, 1935, in Wrightstown, she preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2005. Henry worked for 24 years at A. G. Wells Company and at St. Norbert Abbey for 15 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and it's Holy Name Society and the Catholic Knights.

Francis B. Vande Loo, M.D., 96, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 29, 2010, at home surrounded by his family. Francis was born September 2, 1913, in Hollandtown, WI, son of the late John and Anna (Haen) Vande Loo. Francis married the former Cecilia M. Vonck of Appleton, WI, on June 17, 1939, in Appleton.
Francis graduated from St. Norbert College and from Marquette University with his Doctor of Medicine Degree. He began a family practice in Brillion in 1940. Francis served in the US Army's European Theater, during World War II, from December 1942 to spring, 1946. He received the Code of Conduct Award, the War Victory Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Emblem. In 1946, Francis and Cecilia moved to Wrightstown, where he worked in family practice until 1970. At that time, he and 3 other local physicians started the first Emergency Room in Green Bay. Francis retired from the Emergency Room in 1983.
Francis was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family in De Pere. He lived a life that was guided by an incredible trust and faith in God, an unending love for his wife, Cecilia, and his family, and a passion to serve others. For his entire life, Francis gave others his time and was involved in numerous volunteer activities: staff president of St. Vincent Hospital, treasurer of the De Pere Golden K, volunteer at the Green Bay Free Clinic, St. Vincent de Paul, and Meals on Wheels, committee member of the Boy Scout troop in Wrightstown, member of the American Medical Association, State Medical Society, and president of the Brown County Medical Society. He was awarded a lifetime membership by the Wrightstown American Legion Club, and also received the St. Norbert alumni award.
Besides his service to the community, Francis treasured many activities, including golf, his garden, his workbench, summer vacations at the cottage, life on the Fox River, and time with Cecilia, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Most of all, a card game, with anyone, would bring a smile to his face, a twinkle to his eye, and most often, a victory.
Francis is survived by his wife of over 70 years Cecilia Vande Loo; his children: Francis Bud (Jan) Vande Loo, Winter Springs, FL; Patricia (Dick Micek) Hogan, Arvada, CO; Ronald (Darlene Atkins) Vande Loo, Washington D.C.; Susan (Charles) Pauly, Fishersville, VA; Marcy (Dave) Kopecko, Grafton, WI; Stephen (Debbie) Vande Loo, Roswell, GA; and Jeff (Candie) Vande Loo, Suamico, WI; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: John, Jacob, Joe, Ed, Henry, and Fr. Norbert; sisters: Clara Dietzen and Mary Fox.

Irene completed her life journey at age 93, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She was born on December 13, 1921, in Kaukauna, to the late John and Elizabeth (Klein) Haen, the middle child of nine. She passed away peacefully at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, where her Mother also died in 1976.
Irene graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1940. She was employed as a bookkeeper until she and Merlin J. Kempen married (May 11, 1944) and moved to Appleton where they started their family. Together they had four children: Marjorie (Tim) Garvey, Bluffton, SC; William (Kim) Kempen, Oshkosh, WI; Dennis (Monica) Kempen, Appleton, WI; James (Elizabeth) Kempen, Minnetonka, MN.
She was blessed with five grandchildren: Tim (Andrea) Garvey, Sean Garvey, Caitlin, Peter and Jamen Kempen and three great- grandchildren: Skylar, Brendan and Finn Garvey. They will miss her hugs & kisses, her love, and of course her cookies.
We all will miss her warmth and caring. Fond memories will sustain us. Aromas of her amazing pies, cookies, kolaches and fried donuts will tease our senses and warm our hearts. We were graced with her seamstress skills and we felt and knew the warmth of her knitting.
In addition to her husband and parents, Irene was preceded in death by all her siblings: Victor (Ethel) Haen, Leo (Gladys) Haen, Robert Haen, John (Jack) Haen, Rita (Richard) Hartzeim, Martha (Cyril) Klister, Helen (Paul) Lamers and Lucina (Norbert) Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by her husband's family: Arvilla (Roche) VandeHey, Evelyn (Ralph) Van Lanen, Cordell Rosin Hurst and Russell Kempen).
Irene is also survived by her sisters-in-law Frances Haen, Pat (Fred) Haen-Schuette, Merlin's relatives: Dolores (Gerald) Schaefer and Germaine Kempen, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. James Leary OFM Cap officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Helen C. Lamers, Kaukauna, age 89, died peacefully on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at American Grand Assisted Living. She was born January 10, 1924, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Klein) Haen. On July 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to Paul P. Lamers in a double ceremony with Norbert and Lucina Schmidt, Helen's younger sister. They celebrated 63 years together before Paul passed away on October 13, 2008. Together they successfully owned and operated a dairy farm near Kaukauna.
Helen was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, sang in the Queen of Peace Choir and was a communion distributor. She also enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling, playing cards, casino trips and spending time with friends and family. Her face always lit up when she received a visit from a grandchild or great grandchild. Her deep faith continues to be an example for all her relatives and friends.
Helen is survived by seven children: Robert (Joyce) Lamers, Greenleaf; Lois (Gene) Ver Voort, Little Chute; Kathy (Steve) Romenesko, Freedom; Gary (Brad Wright) Lamers, Palm Springs, CA; Cindy (Gary) Anderson, Kaukauna; Mark (Lynn) Lamers, Kaukauna; and Paul Jr. (Patty) Lamers, Kaukauna. There are 17 grandchildren: Amy (Scott) Alexander, Robert (Melinda) Lamers, Craig (Tammy) Lamers, Brian (Toni) Ver Voort, Kelly Averill, Jeff (Lisa) Ver Voort, Leann (Craig) Vosters, Jeneen (fiance Justin Mackey) Romenesko, Andrea Romenesko, Jackie (Nick) Bladow, Becky (Adam) Stapel, Eric (Tiffany) Lamers, Jodi (Dan) Hacker, Leah (Eric) Welhouse, Jenny, Andy and Emily Lamers. There are also 28 great grandchildren with 2 being adopted in 2014. Helen is also survived by siblings: Irene Kempen and Bob (Frances) Haen; sister and brothers-in-law: Pat (Fred) Haen-Schuette and Cyril Klister; Paul's relatives: Mary Nackers, Rose (Francis) Schmidt, Emily Vander Wyst, Marilyn Lamers and Helen (Vanderloop) Lamers. Lucina A. Schmidt, Kaukauna, age 88, died Saturday September 21, 2013. She was born June 24, 1925 in Kaukauna to the late John and Elizabeth (Klein) Haen. On July 12, 1945 Lucina married Norbert Schmidt in a double ceremony with Paul and Helen Lamers. He preceded her in death August 1, 2013.
Lucina taught various grades throughout the years, starting with her favorite, a one room school house. She later taught at St. Mary and Nicolet Schools. Lucina's passion was to teach children to read. She loved to sing and dance and belonged to the choir at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish, where she was a member. Lucina wrote poems and school plays. She was an excellent cook whose cookies and apple pies are warmly remembered. Lucina cherished time spent with her family, especially enjoying the holidays. The needs of others were always her priority, and her smile brought joy to many.
Lucina is survived by her children: Jean (Charles) Ertl, San Diego, CA; Mary Novak, Philadelphia, PA; Anne (Jeffrey) Jaekels, Green Bay; and Lisa (Andrew) Hayes, Fond du Lac; grandchildren: John (Kimberly), Jeremy (Cassandra), Joshua (Jeanine) and Angela (James); Sarah; Jessica (Theran), Jennifer (Ben), Lizzie (Andrew) and Jacqueline; Isaac and Noah; 11 great grandchildren (and expecting 2 more); siblings: Irene Kempen, Helen Lamers and Bob (Frances) Haen; and sister and brothers-in-law: Pat (Fred) Haen-Schuette and Cyril Klister. Robert E. Haen, Kaukauna, age 86, died at his home Saturday January 18, 2014. He was born in Kaukauna on May 21, 1927 to the late John and Elizabeth (Klein) Haen. He married Frances Lamers at St. Paul Parish in Wrightstown on his 22nd birthday, May 21, 1949. Bob was a great storyteller and had a great sense of humor. He was a hard worker, farmer and successful salesman. Bob enjoyed living at Legend Lake and having his family visit. He also loved gardening, bird watching, grilling and the warm Florida sun. Bob was a man of strong faith and commitment. He adapted to change and made the most of every opportunity.

Sister St. Barbara Haen, age 91, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Wednesday morning, April 4, 2007, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. The former Marie Haen was born Jan. 4, 1916 in Hollandtown, daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Bruecker) Haen. She entered the convent in 1937 and professed her vows in 1940. Sister St. Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Mo., and a Master of Science degree in nursing from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. Sister St. Barbara served as a nurse and director of education at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc; nurse at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville, Ohio; instructor and director of the School of Nursing at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, and Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Zanesville, Ohio; administrator at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph Home, West Point, Neb.; and director of the Clinica Anglo Americana School of Nursing, Lima, Peru. She also served as director of the health care region for the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity from 1973-1979. After retiring from active ministry, she volunteered her services at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville, Ohio, and St. Paul Manor, Kaukauna. She retired to St. Francis Convent, Manitowoc in 1995, and had been a resident of St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse since 2001. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. Eugene P. Haen "Gene", Hollandtown, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, age 84, died Tuesday June 12, 2007, at home. Gene was born November 18, 1922, to the late Henry and Gertrude (Bruecker) Haen in Hollandtown. He married the former Bernice Micke on August 9, 1945, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown.
Gene was an active member of St. Francis Parish, Hollandtown, Knights of Columbus, Council 1033, and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. He was on the Board of Directors at F & M Bank for 30 years, Bancorporation for 12 years and at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. Gene served on the State ASCS Committee, and chaired it for 1 year, and on the Wisconsin Cattlemen's Board, and was president for 1 year. He was co-founder of Badger Northland Co. with his uncle, George Bruecker and was Vice-President for 22 years, co-founder of Keller Structures with Walter Keller, and co-founder of Calumet Corp. with Vince Rohlf. Gene also was President and manager of Hillcrest Farms for 18 years, site of the 1969 Farm Progress Days. Most recently, Gene volunteered at St. Paul home and currently worked at the parish cemetery with his son, Don. Gene enjoyed travel, cards and woodworking, and was a longtime and devoted Packer fan. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bernice Haen; two sons: Gary (Doris) Haen of Mesa, AZ; Don Haen of Hollandtown; two daughters: Carolyn (Bernard) Zey of Green Bay; Betsy (Greg) Meller of Green Bay; six grandchildren: Patricia (Paul) Traegde of Mesa, AZ, Mark (Debbie) Haen of Mesa, AZ, Jeff (Melissa) Zey of Minneapolis, MN, Tina Zey of Green Bay, Paul (Hannah) Zey of Roswell, GA and Cecely Meller of Minneapolis, MN; three great grandchildren, Mya Rae Haen, Joshua Haen and Ryan Traegde; two brothers, Ken (Joan) Haen of Kaukauna and Ivo (Carol) Haen of Kaukauna and a sister, Sr. Ann Joachim of Manitowoc. He is survived by his wife Joan, Kaukauna; his children: Steven (Donna) Haen, Kaukauna, Susan (Paul) Behnke, Oshkosh, James (Cyndy) Haen, Wausau, Jeffrey (Carla) Haen, Oshkosh, and Peter (Deanna) Haen, Oakfield; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, with two on the way; one brother and twp sisters-in-law: Ivo (Carol) Haen, Kaukauna and Bernice Haen, Hollandtown; one sister, Sr. Ann Joachim, Manitowoc. He is further survived by his wife's family: Doris (Dick) Thomas, Wisconsin Rapids, Barb (Dave) Reinbold, Manitowoc, Ralph (Virginia) Baeten, Green Bay, Ginny (Gene) Brown, Boston, MA, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Haen, three brothers and a sister-in-law: Ray, Jerome (Mertie), and Eugene Haen, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sr. St. Barbara and Marcella (Earl) Fink. He is further preceded in death by his wife's family: Christian and Viola (Hockers) Baeten, Ralph Baeten, and Fr. David Baeten.

Ivo J. Haen, Hollandtown, Kaukauna, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, age 86, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born on February 12, 1930 to the late Henry and Gertrude (Bruecker) Haen in Hollandtown. Ivo married the former Carol Van Dyn Hoven at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on April 7, 1951. He spent most of his life as a farmer and was also a truck driver for C-W Transport for 23 years. Ivo enjoyed vacationing in Arizona and Crivitz. He loved life and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Rosella M. Vander Heiden, 97, Kaukauna, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at American Grand Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born May 18, 1913, in the Town of Holland, Wis., the daughter of the late Henry B. and Josephine (Haen) Micke. On June 1, 1937, Rosella married Clayton G. Vander Heiden at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. The couple farmed in the Freedom area retiring in 1965 and moving to Kaukauna. Clayton preceded her in death on June 5, 1987, after 50 years of marriage. Rosella loved and enjoyed her family very much; she especially enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She also enjoyed playing cards and gardening. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rosella also volunteered at the Kaukauna Community Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her children, Beaty (Mel) Baeten and their children, Ken (Shelly), Karen (Gregg) Daanen, Dale (Donna), Gary (Cari), and Todd Baeten; Gene (Joan) Vander Heiden and their children, David (Sheila), Dan (Dawn), Duane (Laurie), and Dean (Linda); Merl (Delores) Vander Heiden and their children, Steve (Sheryl), Randy (fiancee Becky), and Vicki (Jim) Jirschele; Jerry (Kitty) Vander Heiden and their children, Scott (Jean), Christine (Andrew) Utrie, and Michelle (Bob) Holloway; Carol (Greg) Verstegen and their children Ben (Wendy), Joe (Joyce), Jamie Verstegen, and Jenny (Brad) Landrath; Lois (Gary) Mignon and their children, Jill Amond, Lisa (Mike) Brockmnan, and Brian (Angela); 48 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister-in-law, Leo Micke and special friend Cordell, Freedom; and Julia Micke, Hollandtown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cletus H. Meyerhofer, "Clet", Town of Harrison, age 81, passed away on April 5, 2015, two days before his 82nd birthday, at his home with his family at his side. He was born on April 7, 1933 in the town of Harrison to the late Henry and Georgia (Thon) Meyerhofer Rochon. After he finished school he joined the U.S. Army before marrying Mary Ann Mahnke on December 26, 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and was a farmer for over 60 years. Cletus enjoyed sturgeon spearing, deer hunting, fishing, going to the casino, playing sheepshead and being in the tractor. Cletus was known by everyone for never having a crooked corn row.
Cletus is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann of 61 years; by eight children: Steve (Bev) Meyerhofer, Ruth (Bruce) Thompson, Mike Meyerhofer, John Meyerhofer, Bruce (Lori) Meyerhofer, Joyce (Tom) Harris, Dave Meyerhofer and Dan (Shelley) Meyerhofer. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren: Laura (Dave) Mayer, Sarah (Marc) Vandenhouten, Ryan Meyerhofer, Randy (Nicole) Thompson, Gary (Erica) Thompson, Janet (Cal) Harrell, Michael Jr. (Amy) Meyerhofer, Angie (John) Kerkenbush, Rachel Meyerhofer, Josh (Jessica) Meyerhofer, Matt Meyerhofer, Ben and Amber Meyerhofer, Ashley (Steve) Ropski, Adam Smet, Brooke and Andrew Meyerhofer, Erin and Mitch Meyerhofer and 14 great-grandchildren. Cletus is also survived by brothers: Paul (Mary) Meyerhofer, Pat (Anna) Rochon; in-laws Milton (Doris) Mahnke.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Joan, his father, Henry, mother and step-father, Georgia and James Rochon, brother and sister in-law, Glen and Betty Meyerhofer, sisters in-law: Barb Meyerhofer and Marlene Rochon and wife's parents, Gilbert and Hattie Mahnke.
The funeral service for Cletus will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at St. John-Sacred Heart Catholic Church, N369 Military, Sherwood with Fr. Michael Betley officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday directly at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Cletus's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to daughter Joyce Harris for all the love and care given to Dad during his illness right to the end.

Appleton - MaryJane Rettler of Appleton, age 88, passed away peacefully at Oak Park Place Menasha on Wednesday Jan 3rd. MaryJane was born January 22, 1929 in Kaukauna to the late William & Olive (Hein) Meyerhofer. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Norman F. Rettler on June 10th 1950. They celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. Her strong Catholic belief brought her comfort during her final days. She was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton.
MaryJane was employed by Home Mutual in Appleton in her early years but once a family was started she took pride in raising 5 wonderful children. Her family has many great memories of camping and visiting many of the National Parks. Up north at the "cottage" was a favorite retreat for the family both winter and summer. She enjoyed cooking and making her famous Raspberry Marshmallow Dessert and her Strawberry Jello Supreme. No one ever went away hungry. Planning the next meal before finishing the last meal was something MaryJane always did. She spent many hours putzing in her flower garden and rightly so many admired her beautiful geraniums. MaryJane & Norman spent their retirement years traveling around the world seeing many amazing sights.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Kathy (Tom) Helm of Neenah, Jeff Rettler (Sandy) of Wrightstown, Pam (Tom) Peterson of Appleton, Randy (Maggie) Rettler of Green Bay, Kurt (Judee) Rettler of Lee's Summit, Missouri; grandchildren: Angela (John) Ryun, Neil (Anne) Helm; Aaron (Dori) Rettler, Amy (Brandt Olson) Rettler and Alyssa Rettler; Scott (Alia) Breitengross and Jordan Peterson; Greg Rettler, Mike (Kate) Rettler and Jim Rettler; Monika Rettler; and ten great grandchildren. MaryJane is further survived by her brother, Robert (Marie) Meyerhofer of Appleton, a special foreign exchange student Freddy Vargas, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Donald (Patricia) Meyerhofer.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Park Place and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
The funeral liturgy for MaryJane will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday January 9th at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald St. in Appleton with Fr. James Lucas officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10:00am until 10:45am. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Black Creek. Leo J. Van De Loo, Kaukauna, age 83, passed away at his home on Friday, March 5, 2010. He was born March 7, 1926, to the late John and Ella (Danen) Van De Loo in Kaukauna. Leo graduated from high school at the Salvatorian Seminary at St. Nazianz. During World War II, Leo served in the Merchant Marines in the North Atlantic and then in the Navy in the South Pacific. He returned home and completed his schooling, graduating from St. Norbert College in 1951. Leo married the love of his life, Helen Van Epern on March 31, 1951, and they were blessed with 6 children. During his life, Leo worked for Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Company in both Kaukauna and Fond du Lac, where he served in management until his retirement in March of 1986.
He was also a Charter Member of the former St. Aloysius Parish in Kaukauna as well as the first Trustee and first Treasurer. Leo's faith life was very important to him and he put his faith in action as a CCD Teacher at the former St. Mary's Parish, worked Core Weekends and was active in Cursillo. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #1033 for over 60 years and served as their financial secretary for over 20 years. Leo loved sports and having fun. He was known for being a trickster and relished making people happy through his jokes. His kind heart had him visiting shut-ins and supporting them whenever possible. He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Leo is survived by his children: Carol (Allan) Crevier, Merrill; Donna (Alan) Borchardt, Kaukauna; Kathy (Jim) Litscher, Eau Claire; Peggy (Dale) Von Behren, Appleton; John (Tammy) Van De Loo, Lake Tomahawk; and Mary (Matt Turner) Van De Loo, Appleton; grandchildren: Melissa (Eric) Meyer, Allison (Tim) Paul, Abigail Crevier, Aaron, Andy, and Amy Borchardt, Tim, Tyler, Traci, and Tom Litscher, Jenna, Nathan, and Hannah Von Behren, Taylor and Leah Van De Loo, Daria and Kaden Turner Van De Loo; great-grandchildren: McKenna, Mason and Mya Meyer and Aiden Litscher. Mary was born on March 27, 193 0, to the late John and Ella (Daanen) Van De Loo of Kaukauna. She marri ed Cornelius J. Hatchell of Kaukauna on August 28, 1952, at Saint Mary's C atholic Church and was a lifelong resident of Kaukauna. Mary was a gradua te of Kaukauna High School and worked for many years as a bank teller at F armers and Merchants Bank. Mary was a deeply devoted Catholic and was a fa ith-filled inspiration to many people throughout her life. She was an acti ve member of St. Aloysius Catholic parish in Kaukauna and generously volun teered time to the Kaukauna Area School District. Kaukauna - Robert "Bob" VanDeLoo, Kaukauna, age 88, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 28, 1930 in Hollandtown to the late Jacob and Edna (Kerhoff) VanDeLoo. Robert passed away 44 years to the day after his father. He attended St. Francis Grade School, Hollandtown.
On November 22, 1951, Thanksgiving Day, he married Della DeCoster at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. On Thanksgiving Day 2001, they joyfully celebrated 50 wonderful years together before Della passed away in 2002.
Robert and Della raised their family on their dairy farm in the Town of Kaukauna. His love for farming came from growing up on a dairy farm. Robert was a member of Holy Cross Parish serving as an usher for many years, Supervisor for Town of Kaukauna, Board member for Center Valley Coop and Morning Glory Dairy Coop. He was also a committee member for Lake to Lake/Land O Lakes Coop. He was very proud of all the awards he received during his farming career for high quality milk, excellent milk production and innovative farming practices. He loved to tell a good story, share his quick wit, play a game of sheepshead and have a smile for everyone.
Robert is survived by 5 sons and 6 daughters: Peggy (Mark) Lasee, Kaukauna; John "Jack" (Anne), Kaukauna; Mary (Dan) Geurts, Athelstaine; Tom (Eileen Rueden), Forest Junction; Patti (Marvin) Vosters, Appleton; Judy (Dan) Eiting, De Pere; Diane Meulemans, fiancé (Craig Sampson), Kaukauna; Paul (Molly), Kaukauna; Dave (Tamara), Appleton; Ann (Mike) Ryan, Union Grove; and Robert J. Delores "Dee" Hofacker, 80, Town of Center, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma (GG), sister, aunt, and a friend to so many. Dee was born on November 14, 1934, in Hollandtown to the late Edward and Margie (Carney) Van De Loo. She married John "Red" Hofacker on June 10, 1958. Red preceded her in death on February 2, 1984.
She and her husband farmed in the Town of Center. She was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Her love of her Savior Jesus Christ was very important to her and she devoted many hours to the church as a Christian Mother, Chairperson for funerals and a choir member. She also volunteered many hours at St. Edward School. She enjoyed traveling with her brothers and sisters, baking, her flower gardens and watching the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
Together they raised eight children: Kim (David) Calmes, Sue (Mark) VandenBerg, Joe (Lorrie), Mary (Michael) Fromm, Mike, Jackie (Donald) Murphy, John (Lynn), and Jim (Kim). She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren: Ryan (Jodi) Calmes, Greg (Jessica) Calmes, Tara (Tony) Hawley, Jenny Calmes, Matt VandenBerg, Becki (Jesse) Ashauer, Nikki VandenBerg, Nathan, Kyle (Ally), Justin and Stacy Hofacker, Madelyn and Marcus Fromm, John and Leah Murphy, Bob, Kayla, Mark and Melissa Hofacker, Michelle, Allison and Hayden Hofacker; nine great-grandchildren: Chase, Gramm, Paige, Ava and Reed Calmes, Eleanor Hawley, Annabelle, Gracelyn and Rosemary Ashauer; brothers, sisters and in-laws: Father Willard Van De Loo, Anna Mae (Lin) Pribek, Dorothy (Conrad) VanDeHey, Jerry (Marlene) Van De Loo, Betty (Dick) Eiting, Cliff (Jan) Van De Loo, Rich (Kay) Van De Loo, Pat (Ed) Marx (Ed deceased); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Francis and Linda Hofacker (Francis deceased), William and Vera Hofacker (William deceased), Joe and Marilyn Hofacker (Joe and Marilyn deceased), Mary and Ed Hawley (Mary and Ed deceased), Ann Hofacker, Catherine and Howard Belonger (Catherine and Howard deceased); Henry and Geraldine Hofacker (Henry deceased), Nick and Cheryl Hofacker (Nick deceased), Margaret and Bob Parker (Margaret and Bob deceased), Paul and Mary Ellen Hofacker, Tony and Roseanne Hofacker. Gary was born in Green Bay on August 17, 1950, son of Jose ph Van De Loo of Kaukauna and the late Adrianna (nee Bosmans) Van De Lo o. Gary married Donna Marx on August 20, 1971 at St. Nicholas Catholic Chu rch in Freedom; she survives. Gary was an avid bowler, and was currently b owling in three different leagues. He was a faithful member of Holy Cro ss Catholic Church in Kaukauna where he served as an usher. He was an enth usiastic sports fan, and always looked forward to Sunday afternoons wh en he could watch Green Bay Packers football. Gary had a love for God's cr eatures, and enjoyed his dogs Snooper and Cokie, caring for his cattle, a nd going on cattle buying excursions with his dad. He was currently the pr esident and owner of Van De Loo Livestock Sales, Inc. Gary is surviv ed by his wife of thirty years: Donna Van De Loo of Kaukauna; three son s: Gary "Bud" (Nichole) Van De Loo and Richard Van De Loo, both of Kaukaun a, and Jim Van De Loo of Milwaukee; his father: Joseph Van De Loo of Kauka una; a brother: Daniel (Geraldine) Van De Loo of Shawano; a sister-in-la w: Diane (Rick) Wiegand of Hortonville; two brothers-in-law: Conrad (Ma ry Jo) Marx of Atlanta and Richard (Judy) Marx of Kaukauna.
