My grandmother was Emma (Knoespel) (Schley) Bloy. I am trying to find out where her childhood home was. Her parents (Karoline and August Knospel), her brother Reinhold, and many other Knoespels are buried in Forest Home Cemetery, so I assume that she grew up nearby. I have looked over the plat
book for Calumet County of 1893 that is available on line but cannot find a farm with the family name. Is there an earlier plat book available? Emma was a cheese maker by trade. Thanks for any tips you might have. John S.

Blum, Lucille 90. Of Menomonee Falls, formerly of Whitefish Bay, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007. She is survived by two daughters Karen (Robert) Andrews and Kristine (Mark) Stabo, her granddaughter Heather Stabo, and her sister Frieda Schnable. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, along with three special grand-kitties, Happy, Leo and Mike. Preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1999, her infant son Richard and her sister Esther Thiele. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 from 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM, at EMMANUEL COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, N84 W16707 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls. Memorial services will begin at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society appreciated. Lucille will be remembered for her open heart, open mind, and sense of humor.

Frieda Bloy Schnable 88, of Speedway, "Made Her Transition" in Burlington, VT on Friday, March 21. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at Unity Church in Indianapolis, 907 N. Delaware, Indianapolis, where she was a member. A reception follows the service. She was previously a member of Speedway Christian Church. Frieda was a loving mother and homemaker at her home in Speedway for 58 years, retiring in 2006. Memorial contributions can be made to Ruth Ann Turbidy, 9 Newburn Rd., Worcester, MA 01602. Preceded by her husband, David E. Schnable; and grandson, Peter Roye Schnable. Survivors: daughter, Ruth Ann Turbidy; sons, David B. and John P.
