    Obituary:
June Evelyn Julius, age 94 of Greenville, died on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Living Tree Estates in Greenville, Wisconsin.
June was born in the family farmhouse located on the Norwegian Island in the Town of Greenville on June 5, 1918, to Wallace and Edna (Anderson) Christianson. She was so tiny when born that she fit inside a shoebox.
Her education began in the one-room Island School and she later graduated in the top ten of her high school class at Neenah High School. She grew up with a strong faith in God and was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester.
June understood the value of getting a good education. Her sister loaned her the money so she could attend the Oshkosh Business College. She enjoyed her secretarial career at the Marathon Corporation until she made a career change to become a full-time farm wife. June was married to Kenneth Julius on June 14, 1950, at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. Upon marriage, she joined her husband's church, Trinity Lutheran Church, in Appleton.
June was truly committed to her family, as well as the farm. First and foremost she wanted her children to have every opportunity available to them to become well-rounded individuals. She and Kenneth also made it known to their children that they would definitely find a way to help them go on to college. Having grown up during the Depression, June often told her children that getting an education was a good investment because it could never be taken away. June also tried to stay up to date on Greenville Township issues by attending as many town board meetings as possible. Alongside her husband, Kenneth, she used her keen business sense in helping make astute farming decisions. She was not afraid of hard work and did her best in making sure her children grew up with proper values. June had belonged to South Greenville Grange for over 60 years. She and Kenneth also enjoyed traveling over the years.
Survivors include June's children John Julius, James Julius, Jean (Dennis) Goffard, and Jerry (Jean) Julius, as well as her grandchildren Jessica and Christian Julius, all from the Town of Greenville. Other survivors include her brother, Charles Christianson, her sister-in-law, Margot Christianson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death on September 5, 2011, was her husband Kenneth. Also preceding her in death were her parents Wallace and Edna Christianson, her mother- and father-in-law August and Elsie Julius, along with sister and brother-in-law Lorraine and Leo Anderson, brother Emory Christianson, and sister-in-law Wilma Christianson.
The family would like to thank the owners and staff at Living Tree Estates in Greenville for the special loving care they have provided June for over five years. The support and care provided by Southern Care Hospice is also truly appreciated.
A funeral service for June will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 S. Allen Street, Appleton, with Pastor Lisa Ubbelohde, Pastor Dean Pingel and Pastor Martin Ruge officiating. Family and friends may call at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again at church Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Greenville. A memorial fund is being established in June's memory.
