Obituary:
Brocker, Angeline Angeline Brocker, 92, Oneida, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at home surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Oneida, to the late William and Mary (Webster) Metoxen. On Sept. 15, 1942, she married Melvin Brocker and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1993. Angeline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oneida, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and an active volunteer. She also spent hundreds of hours volunteering at the Bethesda Thrift Store and was active with the Bodacious Babes Red Hatters. Angeline also participated in the Oneida Relay For Life for many years. She was an avid bird lover and kept several pet birds over the years. She is survived by her children, Jo Bailey, California; Jacob (Kathy) Satterlee, Green Bay; Arlene (Butch) Davis, Texas; Margaret (Larry) Schroeder, Oneida; Carl (Debbie) Brocker, Oneida; Melvin C. Brocker, Illinois; John (Jill) Brocker, Seymour; two sons-in-law, Carl Prilepp, Seymour; and William Van Boxtel, Oneida. Further survived by 33 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lydia Skenandore, Sadie Cornelius and Grace Griffey, all of Oneida; sister-in-law, Verna Bunkleman, Shawano; brother-in-law, Donald (Margaret) Brocker, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews. Angeline was preceded in death by four daughters, two infants, Barbara Van Boxtel and Donna Prilepp; son-in-law, Fred Bailey; daughter-in-law, Barbara Brocker; two grandchildren, Rodney Davis and Rick Hacker; great-grandchild, Christian Bailey; four brothers, Freeman, Elmer, Lloyd and William Jr.; three sisters, Katherine, Nellie and Clara; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, March 2, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. with the Oneida Singers at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, Oneida, from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Vernon Heim officiating. Obituary:
Donna M. Prilepp, age 63, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with a recurrence of pancreatic cancer. She was born May 6, 1945, to Angeline (Metoxen) Brocker and the late Melvin Brocker. On August 17, 1963, she was united in marriage to Carl Prilepp in Oneida.
Donna loved to crochet, enjoyed bowling, reading, bird watching, time spent with her family, and traveling with her husband. Donna was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and part of the catechism program. She was also a member of Oneida Red Hatters. Through out the years Donna worked at Judy's Beauty Shop, Miller's Department Store, Chilton Toys, Sears Jewelry Department, JC Penney and Oneida One Stop. She was active in scouting for many years beginning with her children and continuing on with her grandchildren. Donna had a collection of glass paperweights and frog ornaments.
She is survived by: her husband Carl; her children: Lisa Everson, Seymour; Leigh Ann Linsmeyer, Seymour; Brian Prilepp, Seymour; Lori (Sean) Lemerand, Freedom and Christopher (Tracy) Prilepp, Seymour; fourteen grandchildren: Jacob, Scott and Mitchell Everson; Adam, Daniel and Nicholas Linsmeyer; Makayla, Jared and Jordyn Prilepp; Alexis, Arianna and Ashley Lemerand; Brianna and Braeden Prilepp; one great-grandson, Isaac Prilepp; her mother, Angeline Brocker, Oneida; sisters and brothers: Margaret (Larry) Schroeder, Oneida; Melvin C. Brocker, IL; John (Jill) Brocker, Seymour; Carl (Debbie) Brocker, Oneida; Jacob (Kathy) Satterlee, Green Bay; Arlene (Butch) Davis, TX; Jo Bailey, CA; brother-in-law, William Van Boxtel, Oneida; many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Melvin; two infant sisters; one sister Barbara Van Boxtel; sister-in-law Barbara Brocker, brother-in-law Fred Bailey, father and mother-in-law, Robert and Dora Prilepp.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, July 7, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the Oneida Singers at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour from 9:30 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman and Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating.
