    Obituary:
Mary R. Wickersheim, age 83, of Chilton, died on Friday, February 15, 2013 surrounded by her family at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born December 29, 1929 in Green Bay, daughter of the late August & Katherine (VanHoorn) Perleberg.
She married Donald W. Wickersheim on June 23, 1948 in Green Bay. Mary diligently farmed along side her husband and also worked at Chilton Metal Products until her retirement at the age of 70. She was a member of the Chilton Eagles Auxiliary, and St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge where she also belonged to the Christian Women.
Mary was an avid Brewer and Packer fan, enjoyed raising flowers and appreciated the simple joy of watching birds at the feeder outside of her window. She was a passionate sturgeon spearer who did better than most; especially her husband Don. She managed to spear the fish while Don was out visiting with friends at nearby shanties. Mary never passed an opportunity to play cards, either. She looked forward to the fun times with friends and family at a table of Sheepshead.
Mary was the center of everything her family was. The matriarch who offered a listening ear, kindly advice, and warm embraces to all she loved. Her home was always open and she looked forward to every visit from her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Gary (Diane) Wickersheim, Kay (Keith) Olson, James Wickersheim, Don (Kathy) Wickersheim, Joe, (Marylee) Wickersheim, Cheri (Bill) Van Oss; 17 grandchildren, including two grandchildren who were raised by Mary, Jenny (Eric) Foley and Lisa (fiancé Brandon Martinek) Wickersheim; 16 great-grandchildren, with one due in April; and 3 sisters-in-law: Darlene (Othmar) Sabel, Sharon (Melvin) Gelling, and Lynette Wingers. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Michael Wickersheim; a daughter-in-law: Gloria Wickersheim; a grandchild, Kris; 2 great-grandchildren, Alex and Austin; 4 sisters; and 5 brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at church from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2013.
Mary's family would like to thank the entire staff of Century Ridge, especially her two favorites, "Crazy" Julie & Ashley, for all of the loving care that was provided to her.
