Obituary:
Dolores M. Scholtes (nee Stommel), age 85, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012. She was born in the Town of Erin on June 16, 1926 to the late Charles and Stella (nee Reichert) Stommel. She was raised in Hartford and started working at a young age. On September 18, 1943, she married Paul at St. Johns in Rubicon. After marriage, they moved several times until settling in West Bend. Dolores loved gardening with a passion, enjoyed the company of animals, and playing Bingo. She is survived by sisters, MaryAnn (Jerome) Priesgen, Agnes (Phillip) Zimmerman; sisters-in-law, Frieda and Romona Stommel, Margaret Westphal, and Anna Hofman; brother-in-law, Norbert Qualman. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul on June 7, 1989; and brothers, Claude and Charles. The Memorial Mass will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday February 9, 2012 at Holy Angels Catholic Church 138 N. 8 th Ave West Bend with Fr. Gerald Brittain presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Thursday February 9, 2012 from 6:00 pm until time of mass. Interment of cremains will take place in the spring at St. Johns Cemetery in Rubicon. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Humane Society (3650 State Rd 60, Slinger, WI 53086).
