    Biography:
    WILLIAM BRUX, who, with his brother Alois is engaged in cultivating a farm in Ellington township, was born September 21, 1886, and has carried on agricultural pursuits in this section all of his life. Henry Brux, the father of William and Alois, was born in Germany, and came to the United States when he was twenty years of age, locating in Appleton, Wisconsin, with his parents, Peter and Catherine Brux. The family spent the first winter in Appleton, and Peter Brux then purchased land in Grand Chute township, where he was engaged in farming until within two years of his death when he retired and returned to Appleton. Henry Brux, who still resides on the old homestead, where he has spent his life since coming to Wisconsin, married Anna Hauf, of Ellington township, and they had twelve children, of whom five are still living, as follows: William, who was born as above; Alois, who was born March 7, 1888; Henry, born in 1892; Agnes, born in 1897; and Emma, born in 1889. William and Alois Brux attended school in their native locality, and were reared to farming. Their operations in this place have been along general farming lines and dairy work and have been uniformly successful. Both are members of the Catholic Church at Greenville, have been prominent in church, charitable and educational work, and have warmly supported all movements that have promised to be of benefit to the community.

    William O. Brux Rt 3. Kaukauna Age 77, passed away unexpect- edly Friday evening. He was born in the Town of Grand Chute Sept. 21, 1886 and was a cheesemaker until 1932 in Little Chicago. Then Mr. Brux farmed and also worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co.until 1946. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 1033, Kaukauna. Catholic Order of Foresters: Holy Name Society., He is survived by his wife Theresa; six daughters. Mrs. Julia Shiedermeyer, Appleton; Mrs.Howard (Ethel) Luniak,Kim- berly; Mrs. Arlo (Roberta) Ranthun, Menominee, Michigan;Mrs. Vilas (Germaine) Brockman Freedom, Mrs. Roman (Rose Mary)Berceau, Charlotte, Michigan; Mrs. Kenneth (Bette) Van Dyke, Appleton; three sons, Harlan, Greenwood, Wis. William and Francis, both of Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs.(Agnes) Harvey Kittner Mrs. Art (Emma) Hartzheim both of Appleton; 49 grandchildren: 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.Tues- day at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with Msgr. Peter A. Salm officiating. Bur- ial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenville.     Obituary:
    Ethel Luniak, age 91, of Kimberly, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Gardenview in Menasha. She was born on December 22, 1920, in Greenville, the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Hein) Brux. On May 11, 1940, Ethel married Howard Luniak. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1993. Ethel retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after many years of service in the cafeteria. She was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Parish and an active volunteer. Ethel was a member of the Kimberly Legion Auxiliary Unit 60. Many family and friends have the knitting, crocheting or embroidery items that she made for all. Ethel was a great cook and loved to bake. She loved to play cards, especially sheepshead. Her family meant the world to her!
    Ethel is survived by her children: Joe (Joelene) Luniak, Menasha; Kathleen French, Appleton; Dorothy (Butch) Skalmusky, Kaukauna; Mary (Frank) Hall, Green Bay; Marge (Frank) Helander, Mechanicsville, Virginia; Ruth (Paul) Vosters, Appleton; Alice (Carl) Romenesko, Appleton; Rose (Jeff) Hermus, Appleton; Diane Luniak, Mukwonago; Barb (Jim) Koenig, De Pere; Julie (Steven) Kamps, Appleton and Ellen (Bob) Carney, Appleton; 34 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; her brother: Francis (Patricia) Brux; four sisters: Germaine Brockman; Betty (Ken) Van Dyke; Roberta Ramthun and Rosemary Berceau. She is further survived by four godchildren: Donald Brockman, Steven Berceau, Monica Lombard and Allyson Romenesko; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, Jay Luniak; brothers: Harlan (Dorothy) Brux and William (Mary) Brux; sister: Julia Schiedemeyer; brothers-in-law: Vilas Brockman, Arlo Ramthun and Romy Berceau.
    The funeral liturgy for Ethel will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Holy Spirit/Holy Name Church, 620 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly. Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen will be officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of mass.     Obituary:
    Germaine "Brux" M. Brockman, age 92, of Kaukauna, formerly of Freedom, passed away on Monday morning, March 24, 2014, at St. Paul Home. She was born on March 5, 1922 to the late William and Theresa (Hein) Brux.
    On September 4, 1948 she was united in marriage to Vilas Brockman in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death February 24, 2011.
    In 1958 the couple began farming together in the Town of Freedom. She was a long time member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.
    Germaine enjoyed going on trips with Vilas, baking, crocheting, sewing, canning, gardening and enjoyed sharing with her many friends. She was proud of her 3000 + hours volunteering at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Pink Lady.
    She is survived by six children: Dennis (Judy) Brockman, Advance; Don (Nancy) Brockman, Kaukauna; Duane (Pam) Brockman, Kaukauna; Susan (Steve) Peeters, De Pere; Marilee Cappaert, Freedom; Kevin (Jory) Brockman, Phelps. Also survived by 16 grandchildren: Kristy (Matt) Hesse, Robert (Brooke) Brockman, Jodi (Darrin) Matthis, Jacki (Mike) Wegand, Joanne Brockman, Jane (Phil) VandeVoort, Jyl Brockman, and Jesse (Liz) Brockman, Katie (Rory) Hurst, Emily (Greg) Pahl, Sara and Dominic Peeters, Chad (Michelle) Cappaert, Angela (Andy) Baeten, Landin and Riley Brockman; and further survived by 16 great grandchildren and two to arrive soon. She is also survived by two sisters: Bette (Ken) Van Dyke, Appleton; Roberta Ramthun, Illinois; sister-in-law, Pat Brux.
    Preceded in death by sisters and brothers and in-laws: Harlan (Dorothy) Brux, Julia Schiedimeier, Ethel (Howard) Luniak, William Jr. (Mary) Brux, Francis Brux, Rosemary (Romy) Berceua, Arlo Ramthun.
    Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 2 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m. with Fr. Dan Felton officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

    Francis A. ""Fran"" Brux, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 19 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Fran was born August 7, 1926, the son of William and Theresa (Hein) Brux. At the age of 18 he got a greeting from President Roosevelt (FDR) and was inducted into the army at Fort Sheridan, IL on December 22, 1944. He took his basic infantry training at Fort Hood, TX. He joined the 27th regiment of the 24th Wolfhound Division in the Philippines on the island of Luzon. At the end of World War II he was part of the first occupational forces to enter Japan. Fran served his time there as a Battalion Supply Sergeant. He was discharged in November 1946.
    On September 10, 1949, Fran married Pat Seif. They settled on a small farm in the Town Kaukauna and in April of 1965 he started his career in farm finances as a loan officer with Appleton Production Credit Association, now known as Farm Credit Services. Fran retired in 1987. Fran and Pat, being avid campers, took a job with the Wisconsin DNR as Resident Managers at their favorite campground at Star Lake, WI. They retired from this at the end of the 1997 camping season. Being full-time campers, they spent the winter months in the Rio Grande Valley at Mission, TX, and the summer months in the north woods of Wisconsin.
    Fran is survived by his wife Pat, and six children: Ronald (Lynn) Brux of Bloomington, Illinois, and their children Mike Brux, Melissa (Sky) Watkins and Jeramy (Alicia) Brux; Keith (Jackie) Brux of River Falls, and their children Corey Brux and Christina (Eric Mburu Makobu) Mburu; Robert (Denise) Brux of Fond du Lac, and their children Laura and Lisa; Jeanne Brux of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Sue (Andy) Land of Fond du Lac, and their children Sam, Ben, and Matthew; Karen ( Jorge Larranga) Brux of Redwood City, California, and their children Sofia and Luca. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Clementine, Wesley, Ariana, Caleb, and Sebastian Brux and his sisters Germaine Brockman, Rosemary Berceau, Bette Van Dyke and Roberta Ramthun. Fran was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Harlan and William Jr.; and two sisters, Julia Schiedermayer and Ethel Luniak.
    The funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac at 11:00 AM. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at the church.

    Marjorie M. Helander (Luniak) was just a few days shy of her 70th birthday when she lost her battle with cancer but then gained her place with our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Surrounded by family and friends, she leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Frank, daughters Laura Socia (Scott), Amy Roberts (Tom), two granddaughters, Sita Catherine and Josephine Brux Roberts, one brother, ten sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ethel (Brux) Luniak, nephew Jay Luniak and son-in-law Christopher T. Shumaker. A celebration of life will be held at Black Creek Baptist church at 6289 McClellan road, Mechanicsville at 2pm on January 21, 2017 the day of her actual birthday.
