    Gary W. Vanevenhoven, 75 of Appleton passed away on July 13, 2015 with his family at his side. Gary was born on June 25, 1940 in Kaukauna to Wilfred and Louise (Marsh) Vanevenhoven. He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, where he was enshrined in the football hall of fame. He lettered in three sports in Kaukauna. Football, basketball and baseball. After graduation, he attended the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse. On September 4, 1965 he married the former Mary Helser in Appleton and they enjoyed 50 years together. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was employed with Appleton Paper for 33 years. He was a proud and active member of the AFLCIO, 2-469. He held many positions within the union, including Union President, where he continuously fought for worker's rights. Gary was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf and talking politics. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Packers and Badgers. He enjoyed fishing and, after retirement, spending his winters in Florida. He was also a handyman and could fix anything in the home.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, children: Dawn (Wayne) Neubert of Darboy, Scott (Susan) Vanevenhoven of Appleton and Jason Vanevenhoven of Appleton, grandchildren: Tyler, Brielle, Katlyn, Mariah, Bryce, Tadenn and Brittany, one great grandchild Kaylee, sisters Darlene (Tim) Vandehey, Sandy (Mike) Coffey and Mary (Rick) Babler, sister-in-law Nancy Vanevenhoven and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brian Vanevenhoven and brother Bruce Vanevenhoven.
    Visitation for Gary will be on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Superior Street location and Friday July 17, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton. Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating.     Brian A. Vanevenhoven, age 41, of Appleton passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, following an auto accident. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2009, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 E. Glendale Avenue. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street. A complete obituary will be published on Monday.

    Brian A. Vanevenhoven, age 41, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009, surrounded by his family, at Theda Clark Hospital following an auto accident. He was born in Kansas, the son of Gary and Mary Helser Vanevenhoven. He graduated from Appleton West High School and received his Associate's Degree in occupational therapy from Fox Valley Technical College. Brian was united in marriage to Diane Hove on September 29, 1990 at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton. Throughout his career in occupational therapy, Brian has worked in assisted living and sports medicine and has been dedicated to caring for the elderly and their needs. His great love was for his family, and he enjoyed family get aways, camping trips, the outdoors, and especially roller coaster rides with his girls. He was extremely proud of his two daughters and their accomplishments, and loved being present to watch their school and sports activities. He relished a good political debate, was a Green Bay Packer fan and loved his dogs.
    Brian leaves behind his wife: Diane, and their two teenage daughters: Brielle and Mariah at home; his parents: Mary and Gary Vanevenhoven; brothers: Scott Karen Vanevenhoven, Jason Vanevenhoven; sister: Dawn Wayne Neubert; grandmother: Louise Vanevenhoven; mother-in-law: Bonnie Hove; brother-in-law: Jim Mary Hove; sister-in-law: LuAnn Dale Thiel; and Diane's grandmother: Ruth Miller. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
    Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilfred Vanevenhoven, Agnes and Robert Helser; uncles: Bruce Vanevenhoven and Bobby Helser; and father-in-law: Donald Hove.

Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.     Jason Vanevenhoven, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born on June 29, 1977 to Gary and Mary (Helser) Vanevenhoven. He graduated from Appleton North High School and went on to college to receive an associate's degree in business. Jason was an extremely hardworking man, currently working at Donaldson's Cleaners as a route manager with his boss Brett. He filled his free time with his friends and family, often spending time outdoors camping or fishing. He was always the life of the party, making people laugh and making jokes. Jason also had a passion for music, particularly listening to and mixing electronic music.
    He will be greatly missed by his son, Tadenn Bleichner, his mother and step dad Sarah and Gary; his mother, Mary Vanevenhoven; his siblings: Dawn (Wayne) Neubert, and Scott (Susan) Vanevenhoven; sister-in-law, Diane; nieces and nephews: Tyler, Brielle, Mariah, Katlyn, Bryce, and Brittany; pets: Miley, Gordon, Emmitt, and Mittens; and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father: Gary Vanevenhoven; brother, Brian Vanevenhoven; and his grandparents.
    There will be a visitation on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
