    Notes:

    Obituary:
William Theodore Goeser, age 90, of Stockbridge, walked gently to the open arms of God on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.
He was born November 27, 1922 in Stockbridge, son of the late Steven & Amelia (Hanke) Goeser.
Having fought in the Philippines and New Guinea, Bill faithfully and valiantly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Following his discharge, he returned to the states and rented the dance hall in Brothertown with his future brother-in-law, Francis "Fanny" Hemauer.
He married the love of his life, Elaine Rose Hemauer on October 1, 1949 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge and the couple purchased the Gobbler's Knob in Stockbridge which they ran until their retirement in 1972.
Because of Bill's congenial personality, retirement was really only a word. He was known as the best bartender in the Green Bay Diocese, and his skills and personality were in high demand at other local establishments. He worked for some time at the Old Mill, The Central House, and managed the restaurant and bar at the Boys Camp in Brothertown owned by the White Sox.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge, the Stockbridge American Legion, and the Stockbridge Fire Department. In his free time, Bill ran a hobby farm, loved raising animals, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and cherished every moment he could on the water of Lake Winnebago.
Bill was a man of extremely strong faith and lived every moment of every day as it came. He was a quiet leader whose life was a living example of what love meant; the lessons he taught in his works were well learned by those he loved. Above all other things, he enjoyed the time he could spend with his family, especially away from the hustle and bustle of public life in the restaurant.
Survivors include his children: James (Janette) Goeser, Robert Goeser, Ellen (Dean) Papendieck, David (Kay) Goeser; 6 grandchildren: Nicholas (Vicky) Goeser, Michael Goeser and his special friend, Erin Holmes, Andy Papendieck, Alanna (Juan) Ortiz, Kristin Goeser, Madeline Goeser; 2 great-grandchildren: Diego & Liliana Ortiz; and his in-laws: Rosemary Parsons, John Hemauer, and Doris Zahringer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife: Elaine; and his brothers and sisters: Carrie Stevens, Gertie Levknecht, Sylvia "Toots" Schroven, Paul Goeser, Greg Goeser, Nora Hawley, & Marie Mayer.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 16, 2012 and on Monday at the church from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place on Sunday evening at the funeral home beginning at 7:00 pm.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of William Theodore Goeser.

For their loving and professional care, Bill's family would like to thank the staff of Century Ridge, Homestead Care Center, Dr. Tipler, and the Hospice Nurses.
