Ranquette, Virginia L. "Jimmie" - Virginia L. "Jimmie" Ranquette, of Little Chute, age 71 years, died at home on Friday, September 30, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 14, 1934 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Lena (Byrd) Wilson. Virginia married Willis Ranquette on March 10, 1979 in Little Chute. Jimmie was formerly married to Raymond J. (Karen) Schommer, of Kaukauna and is further survived by Ray and their five children, by her son, Michael (Kathy) Schommer of Appleton; four daughters, Patricia (James) Buss of New London; Lisa (Wesley) Kain of Appleton; Michelle (Randy) Springstroh of Freedom and Corinna (Travis) Jahnke of Appleton; 13 grandchildren, Sara (Neil) Brandon, Nora (Jeff) Breuer, Christopher Wilcox, Heidi and Derek Buss, Ryan, Adam and Benjamin Kain, Isaac and Stephanie Springstroh, Nicholas and Jaime Schommer and Jacob Jahnke; three great-grandchildren, Athena Brandon, Christy and James Breuer.
She is further survived by her brother, Howard (Elaine) Wilson of Hamilton, OH and nieces, nephews and friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willie and two sisters, Marie (Wilbert) Kobussen and Mayme Grathwohl.
Jimmie and Willie were former owners of Willie's Supper Club and Cedar Lounge, where they made many fond memories and many special friends. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Jimmie was a kind-hearted friend to many and will be dearly missed. "This is the day the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24. "I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at ST. LUKE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 705 Greenfield Dr., Little Chute with the Rev. Ronald Szep officiating. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
