Whitpan, Marcella M. (nee Nadolney)
Marcella M. (nee Nadolney) Whitpan, Oshkosh. The Lord took her home peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 2, 2005. Funeral services for Marcella will be held Monday, March 7, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Marcella's complete obituary will appear in Sunday's edition
Whitpan, Marcella M. (nee Nadolney)
Marcella M. (nee Nadolney) Whitpan, Oshkosh. The Lord took her home peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 2, 2005. She was born on May 25, 1916, in Menasha; daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Gracyalna) Nadolney. On May 25, 1937, she was united in marriage to Phillip Otto Whitpan. Phillip preceded her in death in 1971.
God gave us an angel to be our mother, always there by our side, to guide us through life. She never judged anyone and taught her children to find the good in all people. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to play cards, play the "Marble Game," and read auto biographies. Through her we learned the importance of close family and friends. She had a beautiful smile for everyone and even though she lost her voice from cancer, her smile continued to give all of us courage and warmth. She will be greatly missed by all who crossed her path in life.
Marcella is survived by her nine children: Diane Tessen, Menasha; Judy (Del) Wittmann, Neenah; Terry (special friend Theresa Walker) Whitpan, Cody, Wyoming; Lee (Jo Ellen) Whitpan, Memphis, Indiana; Cindy (Keith) Weeda, Omaha, Nebraska; Jill Lemke, Omaha, Nebraska; Gail (Earl) Petitdemange, Berlin; Mark (fiancee Mary) Whitpan, Neenah and Jon (Linda) Whitpan, Oshkosh; her grandchildren: Chris (Kathy) Tessen, Kenny Tessen, Keith Tessen, Phillip (Missy) Tessen, Patrick (fiancee Juanita) Tessen, Guy (Sandy) Schinke, Tammy Mucha, Suzanne (Aaron) Klockzien, Ty Whitpan, Darcy (John) McColl, Dan Whitpan, Michael Whitpan, Aaron (Chastity) Whitpan, Brian Weeda, Shelly (John) Kozak, Lisa Hatch, Heather (Dan) Reichenberger, Levi Whitpan, Ray Lemke, Jason Lemke, Adam Lemke and Lisa (Rob) Kallas. Marcella is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, her good friends: Bea Lardnois and Joyce Slowatyniec and her many good friends at Keenager's.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Phillip, her sisters: Anna Nadolney, Francis (Reuben) Vogel, Gertrude (Art) St. Louis, Martha Reed, Lucille Nadolney and Angeline (Al) Smith; her brothers: Stanley Nadolney, Bernard (Millie) Nadolney, Joe (Ann) Nadolney, Edmund Nadolney and Walter (Bernice) Nadolney and by her sons-in-law: Wayne Tessen and Dan Lemke.
Funeral services for Marcella will be held Monday, March 7, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
