Obituary:
Beverly H. Wittlin, " Bevie," age 50 of Hortonville, wife, mother & friend passed away at her residence Tuesday, May 04, 2004 peacefully in the arms of her loving husband and surrounded by family and friends, following a 15-month struggle with leukemia. She was born on December 31, 1953 in Appleton daughter of Gabriel and Helen (Van Stralen) Simonis. On November 3, 1979 she was united in marriage to David Wittlin in Hortonville. Bevie touched the lives of many of Gods children in her 20 plus years of in home childcare. She loved all holidays, especially Christmas. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her trailer up north.
She is survived by her husband, David; three sons: Matthew, Hortonville; Michael, Oshkosh; Joseph, Hortonville; her little pup Chyna; her father, Gabriel Simonis, Hortonville; father and mother-in-law Clarence and Glenna Wittlin, Greenville; a sister, Sharon (Tom) Guyette, Menomonee, WI; two brothers: Richard (Bonnie) Simonis, Hortonville; Steve (Janet) Simonis, Hortonville; a brother-in-law, Randy Wittlin (special friend, Laurie), Hortonville; a sister-in-law Jane (David) Kettner, Greenville. Nieces and nephews: Tricia, Melissa, Malinda, Tracie, Troy, Lance, Chase, Cody, Casey, Christine, Tony, Kim, Lindsey, Mitchell further survive Bevie.
She was preceded in death by her mother Helen.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 7, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Peter and Paul Church on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. A 7 p.m. prayer service will be held. Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bar Lev and the caring staff of the Martha Seikman Cancer Center and the loving nurses on 3rd floor Oncology at Appleton Medical Center, also the Theda Care at Home Hospice, Sister Mary Jo, SCA Tissue employees and all of Bevie's loving friends that supported her during her illness. A memorial fund has been established.
