    Harry John Van Roy, age 96 of Kimberly, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 19, 2012. He was born on September 9, 1915 in Wrightstown to John and Mary (Manders) Van Roy. Harry grew up on a farm, attended school through fifth grade, and worked on other farms to help his family during the depression. In 1939 and 1940 he lived in Detroit and worked at Ford Motor Company. In 1940 he purchased a dairy farm in the town of Buchanan from his brother Martin. Harry was united in marriage to Delia Spierings at St John's Catholic Church in Little Chute on May 7, 1942. They raised a family of 10 children. They were members of Holy Angels/Holy Name/Holy Spirit Parish for their entire married life. They enjoyed playing sheephead, traveling, and square dancing. He was a member of the town of Buchanan volunteer fire department and served on the town of Buchanan board as supervisor. After their children were grown, he stopped dairy farming and started to cash crop and to work at Keller Structures doing jobs as welding, flashing, and pouring concrete. Harry enjoyed the many acquaintances and friendships that developed while working at Keller Structures. Later he drove tractor for Bill Van Handel for spring planting, corn picking, and fall plowing. After that, he worked at Goldin Iron & Metal Recycling. At age 90 he fully retired but continued to help his family nurture their gardens and repair items for his children and grandchildren. At age 95 Harry and Delia moved into American Grand Assisted Living Suites. Harry liked to be busy, was thrifty, and had a strong work ethic.
    Harry is survived by his wife Delia; seven sons: Ronald (Linda), John (Joan), Roger (Ann-former spouse and good friend), James (Sharon), Denis (fiance Jeanie), Donald (Kristine), Richard (Amy); three daughters: Carol (James) Van Stippen, Diane (James) Novak, Joann (Jeff) Wyngard; 29 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Joyce Van Roy, Rose Zita Spierings, Martha Kerry; brother-in-law, Robert Kerry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Robby Van Roy; brothers and sister-in-law: Martin (Angeline), John Jr., Bernard; sisters and brothers-in-law: Lucy (Alfonse) Ver Bust, Harriet (Edward) Menting, Marie (Leo) Menting, Delia (Oscar) Wiesman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Henry (Edna) Spierings, Elizabeth (Norbert) Micke, Joseph (Gertrude) Spierings, and George Spierings.
    Visitation is on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, DARBOY which will be followed by Mass at 11:30 a.m. celebrating Harry's life with Father David Beaudry officiating. Burial will follow Mass.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Holy Spirit Parish.
    The family extends a sincere thank you to Karen, Ellen, and Julie of St Paul Hospice and to the staff of American Grand Assisted Living Suites for the care and compassion shown to our Dad.

    Landwehr-Pautz, LaVerne “Snow ball”LaVerne “Snowball” Landwehr-Pautz, De Pere, 78, passed away Sept. 2, 200 5, at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 26, 19 26, to the late Martin and Mary Van Roy. She married Frank Landwehr on Ju ly 24, 1946; he proceeded in death on May 1, 1976, after 29 years of marri age. During those 29 years of marriage they ran three different taverns, t he last being Snowball’s Bar in De Pere. She married Vern Pautz on Ju ne 9, 1979; they resided in De Pere until his death May 26, 1994. LaVer ne entered Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home in September of 2002 where she r esided until her short stay at St. Vincent Hospital. While at Woodside s he enjoyed all the games they played, being a member of the Ladies Red H at Society and doing her favorite pastime crocheting potholders and baby o utfits. She looked forward to Fridays, because she would deliver popco rn to the residents who were unable to get their own, and playing cards wi th her family on Friday afternoons. LaVerne enjoyed listening to Polka mus ic at the birthday parties and picnics. Her favorite song was the Chick en Song. Above all her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, gre at grandchildren, and spending time with her family.Survivors include her daughters, Rose Marie “Mooch” Renard of Green Bay, a nd Barb (Steve) Hendricks of De Pere; her grandchildren, Kevin (Vicky) Ren ard of Suamico, Brad (Jenny) Renard of Green Bay, and Jenny Renard (Jacob s) of Appleton; her two great grandchildren Brittany Bauman and Carter Ren ard further survive.Her husbands, Frank Landwehr and Vern Pautz, and her sister Mabel Van R oy preceded her in death.Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005 at the RYAN FUNER AL HOME 305 N. The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 31, 2009, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. She was born September 28, 1936, to the late Martin and Angeline Van Roy in Kimberly, where she lived most of her life. Prior to her retirement from Colony Oaks Care Center in 1988, Darlene also worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

    Donald Ver Bust, 73, Kimberly, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at his home with his family by his side, after a courageous 18-year battle with Parkinson's. He was born January 25, 1937, in Kimberly, the son of the late Alfonse and Lucille (Van Roy) Ver Bust. On September 16, 1958, Don married Sandra Albers at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly.
    He served his country in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas, and Oahu, Hawaii, with Sandra with him. Don and Sandy fulfilled his dream by returning in 2004 to Hawaii and over the years traveled extensively together.
    Don was employed for 37 years at Repap and was elected as president for the Kimberly Independent Papermill Workers Union. He volunteered as a scoutmaster with his two sons and was a member of Holy Name Athletic Association. Don was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly.
    He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting with his dog. Family was the most important thing to Don and he loved being with his children and grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
    Don is survived by his wife, Sandra Ver Bust, Kimberly; daughter, Jill (Dave) VandenOever, Kimberly; sons, Mark Ver Bust, Hilbert; and Steve (Kelly) Ver Bust, Little Chute; nine grandchildren, Michael (Aimi) VandenOever, Katie (Mike) Frassetto, Steven and Brett VandenOever; Matt, Madison, Mason, Paige and Maggie Ver Bust; and his brother, Bernard (Janet) Ver Bust, Kimberly. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Don was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Richard Ver Bust.
    The Memorial Mass for Don will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - KIMBERLY, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly. Father David Beaudry will be officiating. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of Mass.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
    Most of all, he was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He lived his life to the fullest. Don's belief was ... happiness is a decision.

    Eunice M. Kuehl, 73, Suring formerly of Sherwood, passed away at home on Thursday, October 11, 2012. She was born November 20, 1938, to the late Leo and Marie (Van Roy) Menting. Eunice Menting married Kenneth E. Kuehl on September 3, 1955, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Eunice ran the farm in Sherwood with Ken from 1966 to 1983. They owned and operated Kuehl's Red Arrow Resort on Anderson Lake from 1983 until retirement in 2000.
    Eunice was a loving wife and mother, she enjoyed knitting and cooking, her specialty was making large amounts of sauer kraut and hocks. She will be greatly remembered for her intoxicating fruit cakes. Eunice faithfully attended St. Michael's Catholic Church Chapel where she was a member.
    She will be greatly missed by her husband, Kenneth of Suring; three daughters, Kasandra (Rick) Ott of Gillett; Karol Kuehl Koeck (special friend Butch) of Brillion; Karlyn (Keith) Pennings of Navarino; four sons, Kendall (special friend, Amy), Leonard (Kathy) Menting of Darboy; Karl (Ann) Kuehl of Colby; Kory (Nixi) Kuehl of Suring; six brothers, Tom (Eva) Menting, Roger (Kay) Menting, Lee (Connie) Menting, Bernard (Karen) Menting, Leroy (Debbie) Menting, Leonard (Kathy) Menting; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two more blessings to come.

    Karen M. Killian (Ver Bust), age 58, of Darboy, passed away Monday evening November 14th, surrounded with love by her family. Karen battled cancer courageously for five and a half years. She was born on November 19, 1957 in Appleton to Bernie and Janet (Newhouse) Ver Bust. Karen married the love of her life, David Killian on October 9th, 1982 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. They were able to celebrate their 34th anniversary in October.
    Karen graduated from Kimberly High School in 1976, and shortly after attended Gateway Technical School in Kenosha, WI. She worked at Appleton Papers prior to her two most recent positions with Goodwill Industries and the Kimberly Area School District as an aide (JR Gerritts Middle School, Westside Elementary). She was a hardworking and dedicated co-worker creating so many lasting friendships along the way.
    Karen will be remembered as an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. The love she had for her family shined brightly through everything she did. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially her two grandchildren. Spending time at the lake was always the highlight of her summer. She also enjoyed going for walks and reading.
    Karen is survived by her loving husband: David of Darboy; three children: Ryan (Marley) Killian of Darboy; Amy (James) Finster of Darboy; and Sara Killian (fiancé Evan Guell) of Greenville; her grandchildren: Natalie Finster and Dekker Killian; her parents: Bernie and Janet Ver Bust of Kimberly; three siblings: Joanne (Don) Sievers of Kimberly; Bill (Judy) Ver Bust of Freedom; and Mike (Dawn) Ver Bust of Ashwaubenon; her mother-in-law: Joan (Clyde) Jenkins of Grand Chute; three brothers-in-law: Jim (Donna) Killian of Kaukauna; Lee (Lori) Killian of Westfield; Steve Derks of Kimberly and by many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Leo Killian and sister-in-law, Karen Derks.
    The funeral liturgy for Karen will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 620 E. Kimberly Avenue with Father Robert Kollath officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday starting at 8:30 AM and continuing until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Karen's name. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Tammela of St. Vincent's Hospital and his amazing nursing staff as well as Dr. Rice at the UW Hospital system for the attentive care and compassion throughout the journey. We would also like to thank the Kimberly Area School District and Goodwill Industries for the thoughts, prayers, and continued support. And last but not least, we would like to thank all the family and friends who took the time to be by Karen's side throughout her entire battle.

    David J. Menting, 47, New London, passed away unexpectedly while fishing on the Wolf River on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. He was born on July 16, 1961, in Appleton, the son of Donald and Audrey (Piechocki) Menting. On Nov. 17, 2005, he was united in marriage to Patricia Troudt in Appleton. David formerly worked as a finish carpenter for Rozelle Construction in Appleton for 16 years. He was currently employed at Sara Lee Foods in New London.
    David is survived by his wife, Patricia; his mother, Audrey Menting, Appleton; four brothers, Donald Menting, La Crosse; Terry Menting, New London; Kurt (Diane) Menting, California; Travas (Brenda) Menting, Seymour; three step-daughters, Cheyenne Troudt, Breanna Troudt, Maggie Rodriguez, all of Waupaca; also numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Donald.
    The Funeral Service for David will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with the Rev. Lucretia Fehrmann officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
