    Obituary:
    Roger Van Den Elzen, 82, of Howard, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 25, 2012, while vacationing in California. The son of Andrew and Rose (Vanden Huevel) Van Den Elzen was born June 11, 1930, in the town of Pittsfield. On November 11, 1950, he married Shirley Virbick at St. John Cantius Church, Sobieski. The couple lived in the Pulaski area most of their 'almost 62 years' of married life. Roger was a member of the American Legion Post #337, Pulaski. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with his boys. Roger and Shirley enjoyed playing cards and spending time with their family.
    Survivors include his wife, Shirley; three children, Janice Van Den Elzen, Green Bay, James (Joan) Van Den Elzen, Suamico, and David (Patti) Van Den Elzen, Pulaski; seven grandchildren, Heather (Hef) Heim, Megan (Chris) La Frombois, and Rachel Heim; Dr. Jamie (Amanda) Van Den Elzen and Jesse Van Den Elzen; Andrew (fiancée Katie) Van Den Elzen, and Christopher Van Den Elzen; one great-grandson, Chase Van Den Elzen; one brother, Howard Van Den Elzen, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Van Den Elzen, Lena, and Eva Van Den Elzen, Oconto Falls; one brother-in-law, Dale Van Lannen, Pulaski; nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by two infant children; five brothers, Norbert, Harold (Lavina), Archie (Rosella), Elmer, and Lester; four sisters, Grace (Fred) Baake, Agnes (Leroy) Gutzman, Phyllis Van Lannen, and Martha (Sid) Ratzkoff; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Van Den Elzen.
    Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with full military honors provided by the Pulaski veterans groups.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
