    Obituary:
Dennis C. Conradt, age 75, Shiocton, passed away peacefully on March 1st at home with his family. He was born January 22, 1940, son of late Ervin (Butch) and Grace (Voight) Conradt. He married Peggy Draheim on June 8, 1960. They were married 54 years. His interests were unlimited; he served nine years on the Shiocton School board, was on council at First Lutheran Church, member of the Shiocton Business League, and many other conservation clubs. His pride and joy was being one of the founders and also his presidency for 22 years for Shadows on the Wolf, and couldn't be prouder of the many things the club had done for the environment, communities, and the multiple handicap docks for fishing. Denny was the happiest when working in his shop and making frames and many other projects for his family. He made and donated the signs at the Bovina and Medina Cemeteries. He had a love for flowers which came from his mother that showed up in his yard every spring, which he watered with pails of water on his golf cart.
Denny started married life as a farmer, worked at Bentles Cheese Factory and then decided to try his hand at owning a tavern - until a fire took that away. He then went to an auctioneer school and became Colonel Conradt. When he graduated he worked with Singler Auction for several years and still continued to help out with benefits and fundraisers. He started construction with Appleton Asphalt then went to Badger Highway for several years. After this he went on the road with Fox Valley Construction for many years till it was dissolved. He then finished his career at Musson Brothers where he was asphalt superintendent until he retired.
During this time, Denny still found time to have 6 awesome children, whom he was so very proud of with 11 grandkids and his godson John Dennis . After his retirement he became an Ordained Minister so he could marry one of his granddaughters, which he said was really special. He still had a few more weddings in the making. GPA always said his family was his pride and joy.
Denny is survived by his wife Peggy, 6 children; Tim (Lynn) Conradt, Jeff Conradt, Kevin (Jaki) Conradt, Tammy (Larry) Boelter, Troy (Vikki) Conradt, and Jenny (Radley) Riehl, all of Shiocton. 11 grandchildren: Courtney(Bryan) Johnson, Meghan (Adam) Van Zeeland, Chelsey (fiancé Mark)Conradt, Tricia (Jerad) Conradt, Kyle (Lauren) Boelter, Luke(special friend Erin) Boelter, Kevin (special friend Tara) Zahn, Brad (fiancée Lacey) Conradt, Tony Conradt, Jordan and Jarett Riehl. 7 great grandkids: Lily, Brynn, Gryffin, Jadyn, Camden, Landon, Lawson, and 2 more coming in April. Also survived by a sister: Connie (Cookie) Conradt of Louisiana, and two brothers-in-law: Paul (Jean) Draheim and Rick Draheim, and two sisters-in-law: Mary (Al) Bickel and Diane Conradt.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents Ervin (Butch) and Grace Conradt and two brothers, Gary and Dick Conradt. Further preceded by his mother and father-in-law: Delbert (Bernice) Draheim, and four brothers-in-law: Bob Draheim, Wayne Draheim, Dennis Draheim and Eugene Conradt.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 3 to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shiocton from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm with Pastor Paul Hinz officiating. Burial will take place at Bovina Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
The Conradt family would like to send out a special thank you to all the nurses and staff that helped throughout this journey including the nurses at Heartland Hospice Care. Another special thanks to Pastor Paul Hinz and the community for their support during this difficult time.
To know him is to love him.
