    Jerome "Jerry" F. Maloney, 81, De Pere resident, formerly of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2011. He was born on April 21, 1929 to the late Arthur J. and Madeline M. (Gavin) Maloney in Green Bay. He graduated from Catholic Central High School with the class of 1947 and then attended UW-Madison. Jerry was drafted for the Korean Police Action and served from 1951 to 1953. He served as Sergeant Major in the 101st Signal Battalion. Jerry was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service. He served as President of the Green Bay Area Labor Management Council and Fox Cities Area Labor Management Council. These groups were involved in educational programs for non-college bound high school students and provided effective programs for the labor and management communities. He was a charter member of the Red Dog Investments, a group to which he belonged to for over 60 years.
    He is survived by his 2 sons, Matthew (Lori) Maloney and John (Jessica) Maloney; grandchildren, Kate and Megan; sister, Joan Conroy; step-children, Mark (Betty) Leicht, Jim (Lana) Leicht, David (Donna) Leicht, Paul (Cathy) Leicht and Mary Ellen Leicht; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Lawrence; sisters, Rosemary and Kathleen.
    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday after 9:30 a.m. at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St., until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. Friday at the church with Rev. Ken De Groot, O.Praem. officiating. Burial St. Mary's Cemetery, Hilbert. Online condolences may be sent to Jerry's family at www.prokowall.com.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
    Their noondays never know whose names immortal are. 'Tis night alone that shows what star surpasseth star.
