    Stilen, Myrtle H.
    Myrtle H. Stilen, age 93, formerly of New London, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2009, at Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Myrtle was born on July 6, 1916, in the Township of Maine (Outagamie County), daughter of the late Willie and Emily (Templar) Fields. On June 5, 1937, she was united in marriage to Elroy Stilen. He preceded her in death in 1993. Myrtle formerly worked at the Hortonville Toy Factory, Sturms, Manawa, Canning Factory, Hortonville and Kraut Factory, Shiocton.
    She was a member of the United Methodist Church in New London for the past 53 years and was a member of the Faith Circle.
    Myrtle is survived by two daughters: Karen (William) Swanson, Wild Rose; Chip (James) Phelps, Commerce, Texas; and a daughter-in-law, Pat (Martin) Schuelke, Weyauwega. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Charles Larson, Weyauwega.
    Besides her parents and husband, Myrtle is preceded in death by two sons, Wayne and Warren; four brothers and four sisters.
    Funeral Services for Myrtle will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church, New London, with Rev. Lucretia Fehrmann officiating. Burial will be in the Shiocton-Bovina Cemetery. Visitation for Myrtle will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
