    Obituary:
    Marcel Head passed away Monday, September 28, 2009, with his loving family at his side, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born on January 13, 1917, in Hilbert son of the late Orville and Anna (Meier) Head. Marcel married Clarice Westenberger on June 14, 1947, at St. Mary's of Seven Dolors in Stockbridge. Marcel attended the University of Platteville and then returned to the farm until his retirement. Marcel was a lifetime member of St. Mary's in Stockbridge, the Stockbridge High School Alumni Association, the Stockbridge Fire Department, and the Historical Society at High Cliff where he held several positions. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling, collecting antiques, and sports. Those who shared his life were blessed by his love and his enthusiasm for life. He was a loving brother and uncle who will be sadly missed by his family.
    He is survived by his sisters: Jeanette Head, Beatrice Hoelzel, and Audrey (Dick) Volp; God children: Jane Warren, Gary Head and Margie Gehl; loving nieces and nephews: Bob (Jill) Head and their children, Brian and Dana; Gary (Susan) Head and their children, Ricardo, Luis, and Michael; Dave (Sue) Head and their children, Kiley and Emily; Susan (Denis) Schoen and their children, Matt, Jill (Chris) Davis and baby Devin; Jane (Jeff) Warren and their children, Kelsey and Cole; he is further survived by other nieces, nephews, and cousins; aunt Margaret (Frank) Vanden Boom; and dear friends: Art Gilles, Jenny Bodinger, and Ken Head.
    Marcel was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice; his parents: Orville and Anna Head; his brothers: Jerryand Jim Head; his sister, Grace Ortlieb who had just passed away in August of 2009; sister-in-law Loretta Head; brother-in-law, Gilbert Hoelzel, Donald Ortlieb and Walter (Virginia) Westenberger; Clarice's parents: Emery and Kate Westenberger.
    Mass of celebration will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge at 12 Noon on Thursday, October 1, 2009. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in Marcel's name.
    The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to those that shared their support and compassion for Marcel and his family during his illness including the staff at Chilton Care Center and the Calumet Medical Center for their wonderful care, and to Father Philip and the entire church body for all of their love, support and prayers. We would not have been able to get through this struggle without everyone. We know grief is the price you pay for loving someone.

    Jeanette Head, age 95, of Stockbridge, died on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. She was born August 22, 1920, daughter of the late Orville & Anna (Meier) Head and graduated from St. Mary Catholic School and Stockbridge High School. She later attended and graduated from UW Oshkosh with a BS Degree in Education.
    Jeanette was a licensed K-8 grade teacher and a K-12 grade reading specialist and was certified in Religious Education. Her teaching experience began in the Key School and continued in the New Holstein Public Elementary School. She also was a Chapter I instructor in Stockbridge Public Schools. Following her retirement, she continued to volunteer as a religious education teacher at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge.
    Jeanette had pleasant memories about her work, school and community. She was a member of the local, regional, state, and national associations, State Art Education Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society. She received an award from the Department of Public Instruction for her many years of service in the Chapter I program and received an award for her services and professional commitment to the school and community.
    She was an active member in Stockbridge High School Alumni Association, UW Oshkosh Alumni Association, and was a past member of the Calumet County Business and Professional Women.
    Jeanette was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Seven Dolars Catholic Church in Stockbridge. She enjoyed sports, traveling, flowers, gardening, and reading.
    Jeanette will be sadly missed by her loving sisters, Audrey Volp and Beatrice Hoelzel. She is further survived by a godchild, Robert (Jill) Head and their children, Brian & Dana; nephews, James (Vicky) Head, Gary (Susan) Head, and their children, Ricardo, Luis, & Michael, and David (Sue) Head and their children, Kiley and Emily; nieces, Susan (Denis) Schoen and their children, Matt, Jill Davis and her son, Devin, and Jane (Jeff) Warren and their children, Kelsey & Cole; and special friend, Irvin Zahringer. She is further survived by relatives, close friends, and former students she remembered over the years.
    In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerome, Jim, and Marcel (Clarice) Head; her sister-in-law, Loretta Head; and her brothers-in-law, Gilbert Hoelzel & Richard Volp.

    Head, Jerome R.,“Jerry” forme rly of Stockbridge and Little ChuteAge 78, died Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Parkside Care Center, Little Chu te. He was born April 16, 1925 in the Town of Stockbridge; son of Orvil le and Ann (Meier) Head. Jerry was a member of St. John Nepomucene Cathol ic Church, Little Chute. He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School whe re he will be remembered as a great boxer. Jerry played in many baseball a nd basketball league along with coaching Little League Baseball and teachi ng snowmobile classes in Kaukauna. Mr. Head was employed at Thilmany Pu lp and Paper for 38 and years until his retirement. While employed at Thil many he was a member of Local Union #20, their fire department and the Qua rter Century Club. Jerry was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishin g, football, golf and playing cards. It was a joy for Jerry to spend ti me at his cottage at Pickeral Lake. He loved visiting his grandchildren a nd swapping jokes with them.     Ortlieb, Grace Head
    Grace Head Ortlieb passed away peacefully at her second home, the farm, in the presence of her family. She was the daughter of the late Orville and Anna (Meier) Head. Grace married Donald Ortlieb on Dec. 30, 1968, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School and Stockbridge High School, Outagamie County Teachers College, and from UW-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She was a licensed K-8 teacher, K-12 Art Supervisor, K-12 reading specialist and was certified in Religious Education. Her teaching experience began in the Mark Twain Rural School and led to being a junior high teacher in the Hilbert Public School System, where she later became the first-grade teacher. Grace came to Stockbridge as the reading specialist and Chapter I instructor. She ended her career as a K-12 reading specialist in the Stockbridge Public School System.
    Following her retirement, she continued to volunteer for several years as a religious education teacher at St. Mary's in Stockbridge. Grace had pleasant memories about her work with the school and the community. She was a member of the local, regional, state and National Education Association, the State Art Education Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society. She received an award from the Department of Public Instruction for 20 years of service in the Chapter I program and was presented with a service award for her services and professional commitment to the school and community.
    Grace was also active in community affairs, being a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 128, the Calumet County American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 3153, the executive board of the Stockbridge High School Alumni Association, the UW-Oshkosh Alumni Association, and was a past member of the Calumet County Business and Professional Women. Grace was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Stockbridge and its Christian Women Society. She also enjoyed sports, car races, traveling, flowers, reading and visiting "The Farm."
    Grace will be sadly missed by her three loving sisters, Jeanette Head, Beatrice Hoelzel, Audrey (Dick) Volp and one brother and godfather, Marcel Head, all of Stockbridge. She is further survived by a gracious godchild and nephew, Jim (Vicky) Head; other loving nieces and nephews, Bob (Jill) Head and their children, Brian and Dana; Gary (Susan) Head and their children, Ricardo, Luis and Michael; Dave (Sue) Head and their children, Kiley and Emily; Susan (Denis) Schoen and their children, Matt, Jill (Chris) Davis and baby Devin; Jeff (Jane) Warren and their children, Kelsey and Cole.     Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
    A memorial fund has been established in the name of Grace V. Ortlieb.
