    Obituary:
    Laverne "Sis" M. Hillsberg, age 73, of Larsen passed away peacefully on March 7, 2011 at home with her husband and family by her side.
    She was born February 4, 1938, daughter of David and Lucille (Thompson) Suprise.
    On February 2, 1957 she married James Hillsberg at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Shiocton.
    Sis was employed at Miller Electric until her retirement.
    She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, cooking, baking and working out in the garden. She had been a member of the Drifters snowmobile club in Larsen for many years.
    The most important thing to her was time spent with her family. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, and sister.
    In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by four children: Helen Peterman, Fremont, Donald Hillsberg, Larsen, David Hillsberg, Wild Rose, Bonnie (Steve) La Dow, Oneida; grandchildren: Mandi (Grant) Goodness, Molly Peterman, Brianna Hillsberg; two great grandchildren: Addison and Macy; two step grandchildren: Scott and Shannon La Dow.
    She is further survived by a brother Raymond (Linda) Suprise, Shiocton; seven sisters: Janice (Art) VanAsten, Wild Rose, Gail (William) Spoehr, Kaukauna, Gloria (Les) Riehl, Binghampton, Doris (William) Herminath, Shiocton, Carol (Wayne) Fischer, Sherwood, Regina (Philip) Zuleger, Appleton, Sheryl (Art) Schuh, Iron River. Further survived by a brother-in-law Duane (Beverly) Hillsberg, Green Bay, and a sister-in-law Pat Frost, Neenah.
    She was a warm and loving aunt to all the nieces and nephews in the family.
    Sis was preceded in death by her father; a brother Ronald (Kay) Suprise; three brothers-in-law: Eugene (Arlene) Hillsberg, Jerry Hillsberg, LeRoy Frost.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, March 11, 2011, from 10 AM until services at 1 PM with Pastor Phil Engle officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

    Obituary:
    Don Hillsberg, age 58, of Larsen, died at home on Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born October 9, 1958, to James and Laverne "Sis" (Suprise) Hillsberg. Don was a carpenter by trade and could build anything. Each of his siblings has evidence of his amazing carpentry skills in their homes, as do many of his friends and customers. He loved cooking and gardening, growing everything you can imagine, canning what he grew, and also making his own wine. Don enjoyed raising animals, hunting and fishing, and a laid back style of living.
    Don was a good father and brother, and enjoyed being a new grandfather. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brianna Immel-Hillsberg and Jerred Friday; grandson, Jace; two sisters and a brother, Helen Peterman, Dave Hillsberg, Bonnie (Steve) La Dow; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many good friends, and his dog, Duke.
    Preceding Don in death were his parents, Jim and Sis Hillsberg.
    Per Don's wishes cremation has taken place and a private gathering of family and friends was held.
