    Roy Wallace Knoespel, age 89, of Brillion passed away Monday, September 17, at West Haven Assisted Living.
    He was born June, 5, 1923 in Forest Junction to the late William and Wilhemina Knoespel. On June 5, 1948 he married Lois Pearson at the Freidens Church, Brillion. Roy was a graduate of Brillion H.S. in 1940, where he was a member of the boy's varsity basketball team. He served in the Army Infantry during WWII seeing combat in both France and Germany. After being Honorably discharged he returned to Brillion to work on the family farm and the local feed mill. He then operated the Brillion Garage as a co owner prior to moving his family to river Falls, WI, to start his career in Farm Equipment Sales. During this time Roy worked for Oliver Corp, White Farm Equipment Co. and the farm equipment division of Brillion Iron Works while living in Waunakee, WI, and Manchester, IA. During that time he was named Outstanding Sales Manager 8 consecutive years. During his time in Waunakee he established the Midget Basketball Program for boys in 6th- 8th grade. Roy had a lifetime love of sports following the Packers and UW teams. He was an avid supporter of Brillion athletics attending both home and away games. Roy ushered at the Badger home football games, often taking his children to the games with him. He drove Brillion School bus for many years and enjoyed driving various sports teams to their away games. Roy was active in his Church, sang in the choir and held various committee positions. Roy had a great love of a well cared for lawn and honed this skill working at Deer Run Golf Course.
    Survivors include his wife Lois, children Pamela (John) Lindner, Rubicon, WI; Tim (Ann) Knoespel, Brillion; Scott (Gina) Knoespel, North Branch, MN. grandchildren, Jason Lindner; Abby (Matt) Lewek, Dylan Knoespel; Jacob Knoespel; jade Knoespel; Great Grandchildren; Mackenzie and Anika Lewek. He is further survived by his sister Gladys Oskey, as well as several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
    Preceded in death by siblings; Hattie, Mabel, Herbert, Harold, Clarence, Florence, Allen, Willard, Duane.
    Funeral Services will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion on Friday September 21, 2012, with visitation from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and Funeral Services to follow officiated by Susan Safford-Gaul.
    Burial will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Appleton WI.
