    Ashman, Eldo R. "Huntz" Eldo R. Ashman entered Eternal Life on Easter morning at home with his family at his side at the age of 84. He was born on July 21, 1925, to William Ashman and Emma (Schultz) Ashman in the town of Center. He was baptized and confirmed and a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Ellington. On October 7, 1950, he was united in marriage to Marian Willenkamp; together they farmed all their life until his health failed him. He was a volunteer fireman for the town of Center for many years, a sub rural mail carrier, served on the AAL Branch, Fox Valley High School Board of Regents and at various times held offices at his church.
    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marian Ashman; children Rickey Ashman, Greenville; Randy (Robin) Ashman, Seymour; Judy (Andy) Reynolds, Appleton; Becky (Steven) Doell, Appleton; Sherry (Dennis) Bierman, Appleton; Steven (Paula) Ashman, Appleton; and Terry (Becky) Ashman, Greenville; grandchildren: Rickey (Joanne), Michael and Steven Ashman, Michelle (Mike) Boldt, Casey, Calvin (fiance Angie), Katrina (fiance Troy), and Kyle Ashman, Lindsey and Craig Reynolds, Tim, Cory and Alyssa Doell, Melissa (Tom) Hamilton, Kari (John) Laviolette, Danielle, Aaron, Derek, Aimee and Ben Ashman and Emma and Zeb Ashman; three step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister, Melda Wirth, Appleton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred and Howard Schabo, Appleton and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Earlin (Dorothy) Ashman and Raymond (Marion) Ashman, brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward Wirth, Harry and Helen Willenkamp, Emrow and Erdine Willenkamp, Marvin and Margaret Willenkamp and Irma and Harold Rusch.
    Funeral services for Eldo will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ellington with the Rev. Ron Ash officiating. Family and friends may visit at Valley Funeral Home Tuesday (TONIGHT) from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest in the church's cemetery. A memorial fund is being established in his name to benefit Trinity Lutheran Church, Ellington.
    The family would like to thank the Affinity Hospice for the wonderful care and love they provided in his last weeks, especially Crystal and to our great neighbors across the road.
