    William Daufen Dies in Oshkosh, Funeral Friday
    William Daufen, 68, of 334 Bowen St., Oshkosh, who died at Mercy Hospital at 7 p.m. Tuesday after a three-week illness, will be buried in Parish Cemetery, Hortonville, after 11 a.m. rites Friday at SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church.
    The Rev. Leo Pzybylski will officiate. Friends may call at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home from Thursday afternoon until services.
    The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday.
    Mr. Daufen was born in Newburg, Washington County Oct. 23, 1890, and lived in Oshkosh for the past 35 years, coming from Dale. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Oshkosh Chapter of DAY.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Florence Miller of Hortonville; one son, Keith. Oshkosh; two brothers. Joseph and Clarence. both of Dale; one sister, Lenora, Dale, and two grandchildren.

    Many from the Home attended funeral services for Carl Daufen, World war veteran, who was drowned in Rainbow lake. Full military honors were accorded by the Maj. U. G. Carl post, V. F. W., of which the deceased was member. The Home firing squad and the drum and bugle corps participated in the rites.

Alvin Auer officiating. Burial was at Hortonville cemetery. The honorary pallbearers were classmates of the deceased: They were Mary Baird. Mary Wall, Mary Hunt, Mary Finiak.
