    Obituary:
    Bernard Henry "Barney" Rolf, Jr., age 81, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He was born on March 23, 1931 in Kaukauna, WI; son of the late, Bernard H. and Ethel (DeKeuster) Rolf, Sr. Barney honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as well as joining and serving with the U.S. Air Force, completing the ECM course and receiving a Purple Heart. He graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN and worked with Western Union for over 30 years until his retirement. Barney enjoyed fishing, old movies, playing the harmonica and his time at the veteran's home in King and the many friends he made there.
    He is survived by his brother, Carl (Henri Schroeder) Rolf, Appleton; sister, Evelyn Quever, Menasha; sister-in-law, Bertha Snodgrass, Florida; brother-in-law, Raymond Kamke, Appleton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Clifford, Charles and Lee Rolf and sisters, Mardelle Kamke and Margaret Murphy.
    A memorial service for Barney will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Funeral Home, Appleton. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home.     Barney's family would like to thank the wonderful staff, nurses and aides at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, 5th floor, Olson Hall for their compassionate care.
