Obituary:
Yvonne J. Effa, Kaukauna, age 81, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. Yvonne was born February 12, 1929, to the late Otto and Margaret (Krueger) Becker. On September 2, 1950, she was united in marriage to Michael J. Effa at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Yvonne worked for the telephone company as an operator and the Lutheran Aid Insurance Company before becoming a full-time mom. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, golf, outdoor activities and spending time with her family and grandson. Yvonne was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and an active member of both the Women's Aid Society and Altar Guild.
She is survived by her two daughters: Pat (Dennis) Sphatt, Oshkosh; Peggy Effa, Kaukauna; her son, Dennis (Kelli) Effa and their son, Benjamin, Kaukauna. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael; three sisters and three nephews.
Funeral Services for Yvonne will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday March 25, 2010, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 804 Grignon St., Kaukauna, with Rev. Mark Luetzow and Rev. Karl Schulz co-officiating. Friends may call directly at church on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Yvonne's name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. (920-766-2099)
