    Age 83, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 with the Lord, Our Savior, at his side.
    Lyle was born at his childhood home in Neenah on May 5, 1929, son of Zeno and Rosalie (Reininger) Nennig.
    At the age of 16, Lyle left school to run the family farm. He also started working at Neenah Paper, and was drafted into the United States Army serving 1954-1956. He was in active reserves until 1961, then honorably discharged. Upon returning from the service in 1956, he continued working at Neenah Paper. Lyle engaged in farming purchasing his first farm in Greenville in 1956. In December of 1956, he met JoAnn Jarchow after a short courtship; they later married on September 28, 1957.
    Together they farmed in Greenville, later selling the farm, and purchasing a farm in Hortonville. Lyle continued farming until he retired in 1988, selling the farm to his son. The tradition is still carried on today, owned and operated by his son and grandsons.
    In his early retirement years Lyle enjoyed gardening, driving tractor when he could, and babysitting his grand children. In his later retirement years he enjoyed taking bus trips to the casino, going to Polka functions, spending time with grand children and great grand children.
    He is survived by his wife, JoAnn of 54 years, and five children: William Nennig (special friend Victoria), Marilyn Nennig (special friend Deb), Joseph (Tammy) Nennig Sr., Donald (Christine) Nennig, and Thomas (Linda) Nennig.
    Grandchildren: Shane Pasquini, Joseph (Brett) Nennig Jr., Andrew (Amanda) Nennig Sr., Amanda (Jesse) Young, LacyeJo (Adam) Althaus, Kyle Nennig, Keith Nennig, Kevin Nennig, Angela Piechocki, Cody Piechocki, Ashley (Robert) Moore, Heidi (Brian) Murphy and Jeremy Nennig (special friend Liz).
    Great Grandchildren: Joseph III and Jenna Nennig, Lyla and Andrew Jr. Nennig, his pumpkin Karlee Nennig, Kirrah Althaus, Daniel and Aaron Young, Corbin and Audi Moore. Sadly, Lyle will miss the arrival of his eleventh great grandchild, a baby girl due in November to the Murphy's.
    He is further survived by his siblings, Allen Nennig, Jacob (Judy) Nennig, Eileen (Arden) Tews, god child Cindy (Bret) Mack.
    Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Zeno and Rosalie Nennig and brother, Jerome Nennig.
    He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Parish in Hortonville, later joining St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Greenville.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, N2385 Municipal Dr., Greenville, with Father Daniel Felton officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Military Honors will be completed by American Legion Post #55. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Grand Horizons for the care and compassion shown to Lyle and the family throughout his stay there.

    Allen M. Nennig, 85, St. Johns, Florida, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 25th, 2017, at Baptist South Hospital. He was born on August 6th, 1931, in Neenah, son of Zeno and Rosalie (Reininger) Nennig. Allen graduated from Neenah High School in 1949 and completed education for the electrician field. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He was united in marriage to Mildred Nennig (Williamson) on May 11, 1962 and she preceded him in death October 13, 1995. Allen worked as an electrician for the State of Wisconsin. He was also involved in politics, as an Alderman for the City of Appleton, and on the County Board of Supervisors. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Fl. When he wasn't working, Allen was always enthusiastic to lend a hand (or two) to anyone needing his help. Allen loved the outdoors, and in his leisure time, he would enjoy waterskiing, jet skiing, boating with his family on Lake Winnebago, snowmobiling and playing his piano. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and could easily make you smile with his quick wit and friendliness.
    Allen is survived by children: Lynn (Craig) Connor, granddaughters: Alexis and Shannon, Phoenix; Cindy (Bret) Mack, grandsons: Blake, Matthew, and Jacob, St. Johns, Fl; a sister: Eileen (Arden) Tews; sisters-in-law, Judy and Joann Nennig; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    Allen was also preceded in death by his parents: 3 brothers: Jerome, Lyle, and Jake.
    Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Allen married Williamsen, Mildred Mary 11 May 1962. Mildred (daughter of Williamson, Henry Herman and Vosters, Bertha Ann) was born 5 Nov 1933, Little Chute, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; died 13 Oct 1995, Appleton, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; was buried , St. Margaret Catholic Cemetery, Neenah, Wisconsin, USA.     Jacob H. Nennig, 78, Fox Crossing, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. He was born on June 17, 1938, in Neenah, son of Zeno and Rosalie (Reininger) Nennig. Jacob graduated from Neenah High School in 1956. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Sanderfoot on October 18, 1958, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha, and they celebrated 57 years together. Jake owned Nennig Insurance Agency until its sale and his retirement in 1998. Upon their retirement they would spend the winter months at their home in Florida. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, Neenah. Jake was a "jack of all trades, master of none!" He could fix just about anything, and he passed that trait down to his children. Jake was also a jokester and enjoyed teasing all the ladies.
    Jake is survived by his wife: Judy; children: Catherine (Lynne); John; and Jeffrey (Elgina); 2 grandsons: Mitchell and Levi; a brother: Allen; a sister: Eileen (Arden) Tews; sister-in-law: JoAnn Nennig; brother-in-law: George (Carol) Sanderfoot; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    Jacob was preceded in death by his parents: 2 brothers: Jerome and Lyle; father- and mother-in-law: Raymond and RoseAnn (Bevers) Sanderfoot; brother- and sister-in-law: Michael and Mary Sanderfoot.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Inurnment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah.
    Jacob's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, the 1st responders, and Gold Cross Ambulance for their outstanding care and attention.
    Dad- I always looked up to you and respected you. I love you and will think of you every single day until I see you again. Love your little girl, Cathy.
