KEROSENE STOVE BLAMED FOR FIRE
Residence of Jerome Fry All Ablaze When Fire Department Arrives
A two story frame building at 527 Douglas-st, occupied by Jerome Fry was totally destroyed by fire Friday afternoon. The fire Is believed to have started from the explosion of a kerosene stove and had spread over the entire building by the time the fire department arrived. The department was again called to the same place Friday evening to extinguish a blaze which started In the ruins.

Obituary:
Jerome was the oldest son of Isaac Gabriel Fry and Harriet Atheleene Cole. He worked as a farmer for a while but spent most of his life as a Section Forman for the Soo Line Rail Road. His first marriage was to Ida Arnetta Griffen and they had three children; Buford, Anthony and Orrin. Jerome's second marriage was to Otie Kuykendall who is also buried in section G lot 70. His final marriage was to Celia Roloff. He is buried next to his final wife. Jerome had five children with Otie; Winnie (Spilman-buried in Clear Lake, IA), Theron Frye, Frank Frye(Buried at Highland cemetery), Pearl (Mader- also buried in sec G Lot 70), and Cecil Frye also buried in sec G, Lot 70.

Jerome married Wettengel, Celia Marie Aft 1930. Celia (daughter of Wettengel, Anthony and Tuchscherer, Mary) was born 31 Mar 1896; died 7 Nov 1984; was buried , Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]
