    MASONIC RITES AT BASIL AIRD FUNERAL Kaukauna - The funeral of Basil Aird was held at 2 o'clock Monday af- ternoon from the home of W. O. Knox. Mr. Aird was accorded a full Masonic burial and approximately, 50 Masons formed a guard of honor for the body. Bearers were H. Weifenbach. P. R. Maginnis, S. N. Engholdt, Percy Chamberlain and Ferdinand Wiggens. Interment was in Kelso cemetery.

    Obituary:
    YOUNG MAN DIES AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS HERE Basil Aird, 27, passed away at 11:30 p. m. Thursday at St. Nicholas hospital, following a three weeks' illness. Mr. Aird was born in Kaukauna on February 12, 1898, and lived there until 1922 when he came to this city. Following his graduation from the Kaukauna schools, Mr. Aird took up electrical engineering and he was employed in the electrical engineering department of the Wisconsin Power and Light company here since coming to the city. The survivors are the young widow and a daughter, Margaret, this city; one sister, Mrs. M. Mc Madden, at Kaukauna and three brothers, Donald Aird, of Milwaukee; Milton, of Oakland, California, and William of Chicago. The body was taken to the Funeral Home where it may be viewed by friends until 2 p. m. Saturday. It will be shipped at 3 p. m. Saturday over the Chicago & North Western railroad to the former home in Kaukauna where funeral services will be conducted on Monday, with burial in the Kelso cemetery. Services here were conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Robert H. Kroos Funeral Home by the Rev. E. P. Manley. of the First Evangelical church, of which the deceased was a member.
