    James Tennessen, 85, Little Chute, died unexpectedly following a stroke on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1924, in Menasha, son of Joe and Ida Tennessen. Jim was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran who made service to his country his career. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, as well as the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute. In 2002, Jim married Carol Swanningson at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Together they shared eight years.
    Jim is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, James B. Tennessen Jr., Temple, TX; sisters: Betty Moody, Corona, CA; Milly Bauman, Oshkosh; stepchildren: Paula Bartels and her son Travis; Jim (Maggie) Bethke, Lori (Paul) VanDaawyk and their children Crystal, Tanya and Joe; Lisa (Lee) Meyerhofer; Glen (Erika) Meyerhofer; Lisa Young; Richard Swanningson; two grandchildren: Noah and Amanda Young.
    Jim was preceded in death by his parents; former wives, Mary Tennessen and Rita Tennessen; a daughter, Rosetta Tennessen.
    Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. David Funk, O.F.M. Cap, officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the mass. Military honors will be performed by members of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute, and members of the U.S. Army following mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
    Jim's family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center for their valiant efforts.

    Obituary:
    Mildred A. Bauman, age 91, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Park View Health Care Center in Oshkosh. She was born on February 19, 1925, in Menasha, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida(Wickert-Burr)Tennessen. On June 2, 1945, Mildred married Cyrus Bauman in Jacksonsville, FL. After Cyrus was discharged from the service, they lived and farmed in the Town of Vinland for over 25 years, and raised seven children. Cyrus preceded her in death on July 22, 2007. Mildred was a faithful and devout Catholic, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winneconne. She was also very proud of her membership with Ducks Unlimited in Winneconne. Mildred also enjoyed rummage sales, antiquing, taking car rides and going out to eat. She loved her cats, and enjoyed seeing the lilacs and roses in front of her house. Her greatest accomplishment was her children, and she always loved talking about them with others. Mildred is survived by her children, Ann Marie(Larry)Johnson, Neenah; Kenneth J.(Susan), Oshkosh; Norman(Barbara), Neenah; Randall P.(Shirley), Menasha; Gerald(Jean), Fremont; Lauralyne(David)Walters, Neenah and Marlene D. Bauman(Steve Mathison), Eagle River, WI; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a great-granson, Alec, a great-granddaughter, Lauren; a sister, Katherine(Steve)Stevenson, and brother, James Tennessen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11AM at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Sister Pam Biehl will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf River Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 9AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
    Mildred's family would like to extend a very special Thank you to the staff at Park View Health Care Center Woodside North 2nd floor. The care and compassion you provided her was greatly appreciated.
