    Obituary:
Laverne Gladys "Tootie" (Dreier) Engel, age 91, of Ashwaubenon, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born May 4, 1924 in Brillion, WI, to the late Emil and Ida (Peters) Dreier. Laverne married the love of her life, Amos Engel, on October 18, 1947. They celebrated 18 years together before Amos passed away on February 2, 1966.
Laverne lived an active life. She helped keep the house running and kept track of everyone's schedules. Laverne never wanted anyone to be late. She liked to keep up on the news and read the paper every day. She would save clippings of anything printed about anyone she knew.
Grandma liked to collect little trinkets from her travels; interesting pens, decks of playing cards and snow globes, being among her favorites.
Around her birthday, Mother's day and Christmas, she eagerly awaited the arrival of the mail truck. She loved to receive cards especially the ones with little notes in them. Grandma was always interested in what was going on in the lives of her family. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and loved to hear about their activities, even when she was no longer able to attend them all.
Survivors include her three children, Judy Engel, Merl (Rose) Engel, and Diane (David) Mier; grandchildren, Annette (Steve) Wilken, Mike (Stacy) Engel, Cindy (Tim) Philippon, Lisa (Chad) Swinford, Renee (Tracy) Peebles, Robert (Brenda) Engel, Angela Boissonnault, Tara (Brian) Beasley, Craig (Amanda) Engel, Curt (Nicole) Engel, and Alicia and Cody Mier; "granddaughter", Amy Cook; 39 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Vera Engel.
Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Amos; son, Gerald; grandsons, Bradley Amos Engel and Phillip John Engel; her twin brother, Lawrence "Butch" Dreier; brothers, Walter and Clarence; and sisters, Evelyn Lee and Mabel Reisner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015, from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway St., Green Bay, with Rev. Rachel Knoke officiating. Burial will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.

    Obituary:
Carlton "Bud" Dreier stopped working on Friday September 21, 2012. He was born in Appleton, January 30, 1924 son of the late Edward and Anna (Boldt) Dreier. Bud married Mary Jane (Bouche) November 5, 1949. They later divorced.
Following high school Bud proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII where he repaired damaged military aircraft. After his discharge he was employed by the phone company, Lueblke Roofing and Miller Electric. Bud spent the greater part of his career as sheet metal fabricator and welder for Overly's in Neenah and then Thermo Electron in Kaukauna, from which he retired in 1990.
He was a hands-on Dad, supporting all his children's activities and interests. He almost always was able to attend his children's events, sporting and otherwise. A self-admitted "Kaukauna Sports Fan" he continued to follow the team sports long after his kids graduated. Bud's one goal in life was to be a good father to his children, he succeeded.
When he was able, Bud could be counted on to help any friend who needed his expertise, be it roofing, moving, fixing or building.
Viewing the eagles around the 1000 Island Nature Area, Kaukauna was great entertainment. The Honor Flight to Washington DC on April 7, 2011 was a major highlight. He enjoyed the company of his many friends at Rose Hill.
Bud is survived by six sons; Stephen Dreier of Medford, Jeffrey (Valerie) Dreier of Appleton, Denny (Candace) Dreier of Mazomanie, Robert (Jann) Dreier of Appleton, Thomas (Patricia) of Stevens Point and Andrew (Susan) Dreier of Green Bay, a daughter, Kathleen of Tucson, AZ, nine grandchildren; Lara (Chad Walker) Dreier, Sarah (Aaron) Bohm, Stephen, Daniel, Matthew, Katherine, Logan, Amber and Emma. He is also survived by a sister, Leora Hooyman and brother, Allan and brother-in-law, Roland Choudoir all of Appleton. Bud is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Myrtle Kositzke and Vernice Choudoir, brothers-in-law; Wilber Kositzke, Gerald Hooyman, sister-in-law, Vera Dreier, a granddaughter, April Dreier and former wife, Mary Jane.
Funeral service will be 7:00 PM on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 4:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
The family would like to express their immense gratitude to the staffs at Grand Horizons and St. Paul Elder Services and to Dr. Danz for all their kindness, compassion, care and patience with Dad.
Reflecting on his family, children, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, whom he loved beyond measure, Bud often expressed "I feel like I'm the luckiest guy in the world."
"Dad, we are the luckiest family in the world, we will make sure we give everyone a kiss and hug from you."
