    Obituary:
Merlin V. Krueger, 86, Town of Menasha, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. Merlin was born Nov. 10, 1924, in the Town of Vinland, son of Harry and Helen (Zeller) Krueger. Merlin married Dolores Bohman Aug. 28, 1956, in Brillion. Following his retirement from CR Meyer Construction in Oshkosh, he and Dolores enjoyed spending winters in New Braunsfeld, T.X., and summers at their cottage on Clover Leaf Lakes. Merlin was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Disabled American Veterans, AmVets, and Carpenters Union Local #955. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Merlin loved hunting, fishing, and dancing- especially to a good polka! He was always busy with woodworking projects, but never too busy to lend a hand to a neighbor or friend. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, who he loved with all his heart.
Merlin is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Dolores; children, Peggy (Jeff) Maynard, Combined Locks; Thomas (late wife Emily) Krueger, Larsen; Michael (fiance Debbie) Krueger, Neenah; grandchildren, Autumn (Vic) Grimm, Kyle and Craig Krueger, Mary, Susie, Matt, and Dakota Maynard; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Cambria, and Jenika; a brother, Dallas Krueger, Wild Rose; brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Marcella) Bohman and Clarence (Beverly) Bohman, both of Brillion; sisters-in-law, Helen Bohman, Brillion, and Rita (Robert) Pardee, Hilbert; special cousin, Edward (Ruth) Kiefer, Appleton. Survivors also include many loved nieces and nephews, including two Godchildren, Nancy Tompkins and Patti Cibuzar. Merlin was also a special grandpa for numerous foster children.
Merlin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Carlton (Lucile) Krueger; a sister, Lois Krueger; father- and mother-in-law, Frank and Eleanor Bohman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m., Monday, until the time of the mass. Military honors will be performed by members of the U.S. Army following the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
Merlin's family would like to thank Doctors Klamm, Kohlbeck, Phillips, Onunkwo, and Wubben. Also, Laura and Jeanne, of ThedaCare at Home, as well as the staff at St. Paul Elder Services Rehab, Kaukauna, for their loving care and compassion.
"Thank you Dad for your unconditional love for mom. You were a great role model for all of our family, leaving us with so many beautiful memories. We love you, and know you always loved us. We will miss you so much! Goodbye and hugs to our gentleman and caring Dad"- Peggy, Tom, and MikeKessler Funeral Home
