    Sheriff deputies said Gutenberger's southbound auto was turning east off Highway 141into the driveway, directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by Miss Rutherford.
    The right side of the Gutenberger car was struck by the front end of Rutherford's 1956 Studebaker station wagon, hurling it almost 15 feet beyond the east shoulder of the highway.
    The Gutenberger auto came to a rest in an upright position on the front lawn of the Gutenberger property and within 20 feet of the front door of the home.
    The Rutherford ' s vehicle remained upright on the highway.
    Driver's Statement
    Miss Rutherford, a daughter of William H. Rutherford, operator of Rutherford's Surf Hotel, Hika, told traffic officers that she saw the approaching car turn directly into the path of her northbound car but was unable to stop in time. She was hospitalized overnight at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital , with face lacerations, a contusion to the thigh and an
    avulsion to the right knee. Her companion, Miss Schwanz, only other passenger in the car, was released from the hospital later Sunday after being treated for a lacerated right eyebrow and multiple abrasions.
    Both vehicles were damaged extensively.
    Herman Gutenberger was born April 6, 1877 in the Town of Mosel, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gutenberger, and attended district schools in the town.
    He was confirmed May 10,1891, at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Mosel, and was married to Miss Minnie Roehl on Dec. 29. 1906, by the late Rev. L. O. Boeker of St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Mosel. Following their marriage the couple settled on the Gutenberger homestead farm which they operated until their retirement in 1941. Since that time they had lived in the present home on Highway 141.
    Survivors are the widow; two sons. Reuben, on the homestead farm, and Arwin, of Town Mosel; a daughter, Mrs. Gilman (Marcella) Wunsch, of Town Sheboygan; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Hake, Milwaukee. His parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, although the exact time and place of the services had not been decided up to noon today. Particulars will be published in Tuesday's edition of The Press.
    The body will lie in state at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels ' after noon Wednesday.

    Herman F. Gutenberger
    Funeral services for Herman F. Gutenberger, 79, of Rt. 1, Cleveland, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church in the Town of Mosel. The Rev. William C. Beckman, pastor of the church located on County Trunk MM, will officiate. Burial will be made in the family lot in Wildwood Cemetery.
    Mr. Gutenberger died early Monday of injuries suffered late Saturday afternoon in a two-car collision on Highway 141, a mile and a half south of the Manitowoc-Sheboygan county line. The body will lie in state at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels from Wednesday noon until 11 a.m., Thursday, and at the church from Thursday noon until the hour of services.

    ARWIN F. GUTENBERGER
    Arwin F. Gutenberger, 58, of R 1. Sheboygan, died Monday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness He was born in the Town of Mosel on Feb. 3, 1910, a son of Mrs. Minnie Gutenberger and the late Herman Gutenberger. He attended the Elm Grove elementary school in the Town of Mosel, and was confirmed at the former St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church there. On Nov. 10, 1934, he married Miss Esther Wickesberg, of the Town of Herman The couple lived in the Town of Mosel, where Mr. Gutenberger worked as a mason until 1937, when they moved to the present farm site, and operated it ever since He was a charter member of the Faith United Church of Christ at Erdman a member of the Faith Church's, consistory, and was also a member of the consistory of the former St. Paul's Church Survivors are his wife; mother of Sheboygan; three sons, Car! of Wausau, Dr James of Madison, and Donald, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Alan (Helen) Harms, Howards Grove-Millersville; eight grandchildren; one brother, Ruben, of Plymouth; and one sister, Mrs. Gilman Wunsch, Sheboygan. Funeral services will be held hursday at 2 p.m. at Faith United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Clarence McCreedy pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a m. Thursday, and at the church from noon until 2 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Gutenberger's name for Faith UCC.
