    Obituary:
    Sister Mary Kevin Mitchka, age 91, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Monday morning, November 14, 2016 at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
    The former Rosemary Margaret was born March 20, 1925 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Frank Stephen and Mary Florence (Garvey) Mitchka. She entered the Convent in 1940 and professed her vows in 1943. Sister Mary Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and History from Holy Family College, Manitowoc, Wisconsin and a Master of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sister Mary Kevin served as a teacher at St. Anthony, Oconto Falls, St. Mary, Waukesha, St. Joseph, Rice Lake, St. Agnes, St. Bernard, Green Bay, all of Wisconsin; St. Agnes, Mingo Junction, Ohio; St. John, Wellsburg, West Virginia, Principal at St. Joseph, Green Bay; Immaculate Conception, DePere; and St. Boniface, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; St. John, Wellsburg, West Virginia; Assistant to the Principal at Holy Innocents, Manitowoc, and St. Mary, Greenleaf, Wisconsin; and Diocesan Supervisor for the Diocese of Wheeling, West Virginia. She also served in the parish nursery school programs, as pastoral associate, and as a volunteer while at St. Boniface and Holy Family Conservatory, Manitowoc. Sister Mary Kevin was a Sister visitor in St. Rita Health Center at Holy Family Convent. Since 2011 she had been a resident of St. Rita Health Center. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
    Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Mary (Garvey) Mitchka.
    Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M. with burial at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
    The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Friends may also call Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
    The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
