Obituary:
Joyce C. Jens 87 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 6, 2017 at Grand Horizon Assisted Living Appleton, WI. She was born to the late Henry and Alice (Stammer) Schwalbach on January 17, 1930 in Bear Creek, WI. She had a great love for her family and friends as she spent many hours with them playing cards, doing cook outs, going out for dinner with her sister Elaine every Friday night, hunting and fishing, playing the organ and giving lessons, and having a cold one every Sunday watching the Packer games. She was married to William Jens for 25 plus years, he preceded her in death on November 27, 1987.
She is survived by her children; Linda Bartelt, Glenn (Sharon) Jensen, Brian Jens and Michael Jens. Grandchildren; Jennifer, Sarah, Daniel, Jeffrey, Erin, and Casey. Great grandchildren; Leo, Warren, Colin, Ella, Madalynn, Brooklyn and Anya. One brother Lyle Schwalbach.
She is preceded in death by her husband William, parents, and one sister Elaine Krueger.
Family would like to give a special thank you to Michelle and the entire staff at Grand Horizon Assisted Living for all the wonderful care they gave Joyce.
A private memorial service will take place on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:00 at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
