    Leola E. Jepson, age 95 years, of Clintonville, passed away, Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass. The former Leola Eleanor Lehman was born on Oct. 25, 1915, the daughter of Joseph and Sadie (Monty) Lehman, and grew up on a farm in the Town of Deer Creek, Waupaca County. She graduated from Bear Creek High School and worked at Flanagan Brothers Kraut Factory and then at New London Canning. She was united in marriage to Evan R. Jepson on July 26, 1936, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. The couple lived in Bear Creek until 1940 when they purchased a small farm at Bear Creek corners. In 1948, they bought a larger farm in the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County, just north of Clintonville where they lived for the next 53 years. Her husband, Evan, preceded her in death on May 11, 1989, and shortly after that Leola moved into the city of Clintonville for several years.
    While farming, she was a very hard worker. After selling the cattle and land, she worked as a telephone operator at the former Urban Telephone Company, Clintonville, for 14 years. After farming, the couple was able to travel on several trips throughout the U.S. and they enjoyed bowling at Clintonville Lanes. Leola is a former member of St. Mary's in Bear Creek and is currently a member of St. Rose in Clintonville. She was involved at church with the PCCW, the funeral committee, and she played with the St. Rose card club for many years. Leola was an avid reader, always had a large garden, was a dedicated mother and grandmother, serving many holiday meals. She also had a special love for her dogs and cats over the years.
    Survivors include four children; a son, Ronald (Lois) Jepson of Appleton, and their children, Katy (fiance Tim Woldt) Mathes, [Pamela (Kevin) Manley, Jeffrey & Andrew]; Joseph Jepson; Betsy (Paul) Kasper [Zachery]; Richard Jepson; Peter (Sally) Jepson [Kaylie and step great-grandchildren, Stacey, Michael & Ryan Young]; Maggie (friend Shane) Klatt [Terry and Caden]; a son, Robert (Betty) Jepson of Elk Mound, WI, and their children, Bridgette (Douglas) Morley [Jake & Charlie]; Bret (Colleen) Jepson [Nicholas, Christopher & Jacqueline]; and Brenda (friend Marv) Jepson [Brittany]; a daughter, Jollene (James) Peters of Elbert, CO, and their children, Jon Peters [Dakota]; Jodi (Patrick) Maley [Hanna & J.P.]; Jefferson (Kim) Peters [McKenzie]; Jayme (Kurt) Kuntzelman [Henry & Mattie]; and a daughter, Karen (Dennis) Bartz of Pella and their children, Barry (Ann) Bartz [Brittany (fiance Chase Sperberg)]; Daniel (Lori) Bartz [Alicia (Craig) Rekoske, Jeremy]; Diane Krueger [Amanda, Autumn & Jared]. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Leola is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Raymond, Merlin, Rupert & Gordon Lehman, and two sisters, Marie Luebke & Florence Morack. The family especially wishes to thank all the nurses and staff with the Memory Care Unit at Pine Manor Health Care Center. Mom loved all of you.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 4th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Fr. John "Jack" Mullarkey will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of mass at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent via www.beil-didier.com.
