    Jack D. Wuyts, age 81, died peacefully surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness on Monday, May 23, 2011. He was born on August 22, 1929, in Kaukauna, son of the late August and Lydia (Vleminckx) Wuyts. On June 10, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Berniece Besaw. Jack was employed by Thilmany Pulp & Paper for 44 years until his retirement on September 1, 1989. He retired as pulp mill superintendent. Jack enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Mountain, deer hunting, fishing and relaxing. There was no greater love than the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Berniece; his children: Diane (Dave) Wittman, Karen (Ray) Diedrick and Keith Wuyts; 9 grandchildren: Cory (Angela) Wittman, Mike (Becky) Wittman, Heather (Joe) Totman, Nick (Tina) Wuyts, Brian (Rene) Diedrick, Eric (Tammy) Diedrick, Dustin (Paula) Diedrick, Jake Wuyts and Taylor Wuyts; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; a brother, Robert (Aureta) Wuyts; a sister-in-law, Bernice Wuyts; a brother-in-law, Les (Janice) Besaw and special friends: Fred and Bev Barribeau. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    Preceding him in death were his parents, a son Donald "Woody" Wuyts, brothers and sisters: Annie (Joe) Rademacher, Emma (Ezra) Terry, Bertha (Bill) Zahn, Albert (Louise) Wuyts, Harry (Jean) Wuyts, Carol Wuyts and Florence (Leo) Blair as well as his in-laws: Magdalene and Ervin Besaw, and Bill Besaw.
    The Mass of Christian Burial for Jack will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Cr., Kaukauna, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. where a parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Jack's name is being established.
    The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the kindness and care shown Jack and his family by the staff of Parkside Care Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital.

    Diane M. Wittman (Wuyts) of Kaukauna, age 62 passed away June 26, 2013 surrounded by her family after a 22 month "inspirational battle" with brain cancer. She was born March 13, 1951 in Appleton to Jack and Berniece Wuyts (Besaw).
    Diane graduated in 1969 from Kaukauna High School. She later graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with high honors in 1998 and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
    Diane married the love of her life, David J. Wittman on December 4, 1971 and lived in Kaukauna all her life. She had numerous friends in Kaukauna and at their cottage on Sunrise Lake and later on Flower Lake. Diane's real enjoyment in life was going to the cottage, knitting, quilting, walking almost every night for 30 years with her friend Elaine and also being with her grandchildren.
    She was employed by the Kaukauna Public Library last serving as Assistant Director when cancer forced her to take retirement after 29 years. She truly enjoyed the library customers, the library staff, and the many projects she participated in.
    Diane was involved in many volunteer activities including Boy Scout Troop 104 Personal Management Merit Badge and Finance and Secretary to the troop for many years. She served as Financial and Secretary Positions for the Saint Aloysius School Board. She also served as Executive Secretary for Kaukauna Rotary Club. She was instrumental in organizing the Kaukauna Area Historical Society. She served for a short time on the KEEN Board, currently Kaukauna Community Family of Funds before ill health forced her to retire.
    She is survived by her high school sweetheart, husband, best friend, and caregiver, Dave. The joys of life were her children Cory (Angela) Wittman and Mike (Becky) Wittman; and her dear granddaughters, Allie Jo, Coryna and Jada.
    She is further survived by her mother Berniece; her sister and brother-in-law Karen and Ray Diedrick; her brother Keith; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandee (John) Nytes, Dennis (Lois) Wittman, and Gary (Sandy) Wittman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Diane was preceded in death by her father, Jack Wuyts; her brother Donald; and mother and father in-law, Elmer and Mildred Wittman. Also a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dale and Debra Wittman.
    Visitation will be held Monday July 1, 2013 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH (2401 Main Ave. Kaukauna) beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 4:00 p.m. The Rev.     Donald J. Wuyts, Neenah, age 55, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 13, 2007. Don was born May 3, 1952, to Jack and Bernice (Besaw) Wuyts in Appleton. He worked as a millright all his life, starting out at Thilmany Papers, then Kimberly Clark and most recently working at Cellu Tissue. Don most enjoyed spending time at his cottage. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and working on the cottage.
    He is survived by his parents, Jack and Bernice Wuyts; his daughter, Heather and Joe Totman; his son, Nicholas and Tina Wuyts; two sisters: Diane and Dave Wittman and Karen and Ray Diedrich; a brother, Keith and Jodi Wuyts and many nieces and nephews.
    Don's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Monday October 22, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Marty Fox officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be 2 p.m. in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
