    Adrian M. Vande Burgt, age 83, of Menasha, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, January 16, 2012. He was born on November 21, 1928, in Nistelrode, Holland, to the late Martin and Hendrika Vande Burgt. Adrian married Patricia Swick on September 16, 1950; she preceded him in death on September 4, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Adrian retired from Menasha Corporation in Neenah after 40 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and was well-known for both his sense of humor and his incredible "fix-it" abilities. Survivors include his children, Debra (Allen) Menting, Kaukauna; Dennis (Patti) Vande Burgt, Neenah; Richard (Pamela) Vande Burgt, Appleton; Gail (Charles) Bowman, Neenah; and Gina (Dennis) Mader, Menasha; his grandchildren, Anne (Mike) Carey, Glen (Judy) Beach, Angela (Tony) Simmer, Jennifer Vande Burgt, Kim Vande Burgt, Abby Vande Burgt, Adam Vande Burgt, Megan Vande Burgt, Eric (Stacie) Bowman, Kristi (Derek) Rice, Jennifer (Adam) Mohr, and Dana (Jacob) Kruse; his 17 great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Martin (Mary) Vande Burgt, Jr., Bertha (Howard) Brux, Betty Schroeder, Mickey Miller, Barb (Laverne) Steinberg, and Theresa Eiting; his in-laws, Marilyn Kamps, Richard (Margie) Swick, Jacci (Dave) Vandehey, and Jill (Tom) Haufe. MaryAnn Swick, Jean Swick and Judy (Jim) Gavaert. He was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, Glen (Anna) Swick; two sisters, Regina Louison and Margaret Vande Burgt; his in-laws, Harvey Schroder, Glen William Swick, Earl Swick, Roy Swick, John Kamps and Jerry Miller; and two nephews, Mark Swick and Brian Steinberg. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital - Second Floor, the staff at Carolina Manor, and Chaplain Nettie, for their loving care.
