    Cox, Patricia Louise Patricia Louise Cox was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on November 21, 1930 to Roy and Eva (Mocco) Vandenberg. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Cox, MD and seven children: Ellen (Greg) Cernjar, Patrick (Val), Dan (Pattie), Tim (Kathy), Mike, Dennis (Lisa) and Mary (Tom) Winslow. Grandchildren: Bill (Kristin) Milne, Kate (Kyle) Rackiewicz; Tim, Tom and Brigid Cox; Sam Cox; Casey, Morgan and Austin Cox; Rachael, Elizabeth and Lauren Cox; Alexandria and Julianna Cox; Kevin Winslow. Stepgrandchildren: Eric (Erin) Cernjar, Charlie and Sam Winslow; Stacy and Courtney Teague. Great-grandchildren: Max and Sam Milne, Sylvia and Hattie Rackiewicz, Caed Collins. Step-great-grandchildren: Gabby and Audrey Cernjar; Brothers-in-law, Bob Stemper and Bob DeBruin; Sisters-in-law Patricia Gonring and Priscilla Vandenberg, as well as, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Ann DeBruin and brother, Roy Vandenberg Patty attended St. Mary's High School in Neenah and then Marquette University. She met her husband, Thomas J. Cox, while they were both students at Marquette and they were married on August 18, 1951. In 1975 Patty completed her college education and graduated with a degree in Theology Education from Cardinal Stritch College. She became the Director of Religious Education at Holy Family Parish where she created and directed comprehensive and meaningful programs for the community of Holy Family. Patty loved her family. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and supported them all with her gentle strength, wisdom and sense of humor. Throughout her life, she played a competitive game of golf. She had a strong sense of social justice and supported many charities with an annual contribution. She was a great cook and master baker. She was a advocate of the life long learning, a great reader and had all the answers when watching jeopardy or finishing a crossword puzzle. Patty loved MU basketball and the Packers. The Family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff of Sarah Chudnow for their genuine care and support. Family will greet friends on Sunday, October 12, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 13, at 2:00 PM at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2700 W. Mequon Road at the corner of Range Line Road. Interment at St. James Cemetery will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial in Patricia's name may be made to St. Ben's Meal Program, 1015 N. 9th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233 or Greater Milwaukee Free Clinic, 9330 W. Lincoln Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53227, or the Lumen Christi Building Fund, 11300 N. St. James Lane 28 West, Mequon, WI 53092.
