    Rankin, Bernice Bernice J. Rankin, 90, Green Bay resident, passed away on Feb. 29, 2012 at Rennes Health Center. She was born on Oct. 25, 1921 in Green Bay to the late Alex and Rose (Befay) Rankin. She was a secretary at Liebmann Packing until 1970 and then at Morley Murphy until retiring at the end of 1983. Bernice was a member of St. Willebrord Parish and a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle #574. In her younger days, Bernice enjoyed bowling in leagues and traveling throughout the United States. She was a graduate of East High School. Survivors include three nieces and one nephew: Rosemarie (Dennis) Schmidt and their children, Robert (Theresa) Schmidt, Tracy (Curtis) Van Erem; Marian (David) Carpenter-Guyot and her daughter Michelle Carpenter, step-daughters Dana (Herb) Kaiser, Justine (Jonathan) Goode, Liz (Larry) Purcell; Ruth (John) Van Laanen and her son Shaun (Amy) Cherry, step-daughter Stacey Spencer, stepson Clinton Van Laanen; William (Barbara) Rankin and their daughter Tiffany (Daniel) Hackert, son Nicholas Rankin; and many wonderful great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Kathryn) Rankin. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street on Saturday, March, 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. Parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on MONDAY, March 5 at St. Willebrord Church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ken DeGroot, O.Praem. officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to all the nursing staff of Rennes Health Care, Depere and Unity Hospice.
