Arthur A. Gustman St. Paul Home Kaukauna, Age 85, died early Saturday morning at the St. Paul Home after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of the City of Kaukauna. Mr. Gustman founded the Gustman Chevrolet Oldsmobile dealership in 1928 and was active in the business until the time of his death. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No 962, the Moose Lodge, the Lions, and the American Legion Post 41 and also was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. James R. Gustman, Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. David C. Gustman, Menominee, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Gustman, Kaukauna; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, September, 1981. The funeral will be Monday 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father David Beaudry officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and after 8 a.m. on Monday until the time of service. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening. A memorial for the St. Paul Home has been established.

Kaukauna - Robert 'Bob' Joseph Kerry, City of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2018; he was 92 years old.
Robert was born to Joseph and Marie Kerry on February 14, 1925, in Kaukauna. He married Martha (Spierings) on May 2, 1946 and enjoyed 71 years of devoted marriage until her passing at the end of November in 2017. The couple enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Mountain, WI, on the weekends and every year for the week of gun deer season in November. Bob looked forward to having the family at the cabin along with his brothers and nephews for the annual hunt. He also led the annual tradition of getting the family Christmas tree on Thanksgiving Day each year, was an avid fisherman, a tenacious card player and relished tossing bean bags each week on a winter tavern league.
Bob worked for A. Goldin and Sons for over 40 years and then for an additional 20 years at Goldin Iron & Metal Recycling upon his "retirement" when his son purchased the business in 1987. Bob was always ready to lend a hand to fix anything that broke and in his later years enjoyed spending time in his workshop building wood projects for the family. Most recently he spent hours completing paint by numbers and had an entire gallery of finished paintings in the room he shared with his wife at American Grand Assisted Living.
Bob is survived by his children: Mary Ann (John) Loderbauer, Jeff (Vicki) Kerry, and Jill (David) Coenen; grandchildren: Jodie (John) Leedle and Dale Kerry; great-grandchildren: Andrew and Alysia Leedle; sister-in-law, Rosita Spierings; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, their 18-month old daughter, Jean Ann; his parents, siblings: Art (Marie) Kerry, Melvin (Ruth) Kerry and John "Jack" (Doris) Kerry; his in-laws, John and Anna Spierings and his wife's siblings, Elizabeth (Peter) Micke, Henry (Edna) Spierings, Joseph (Gertrude) Spierings, Delia (Harry) Van Roy, and George Spierings.
Funeral services for Robert will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Deacon Jerry Kuborn officiating. St. Mary Rites Held Today for Mrs. Donald Kenney
Mrs. Donald Kenney of 300 Bicentennial Court, Kaukauna, age 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1996, at Parkside Care Center following a short illness.
The former Evelyn Hoffmann was born Dec. 5, 1914, in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late Reinhard and Elizabeth (Gustman) Hoffmann.
Ev was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, Class of 1933. She had been employed at Wiggie's Grocery Store for many years. Ev enjoyed her family, playing cards, and sewing. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Alter Society.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Edward Neudauer of Milwaukee, Sharon and Gerald Schulz of Travelers Rest, SC; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Pat and Judy Kenney of Kaukauna, Emmett "Jack" and Lisa Kenney of Kaukauna, and Lorraine (John) Ziegler of Oroville, CA; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1956; and a son, Thomas, in 1967.
The funeral service will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Robert Udulutsch officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, 119 W. 7th Street, Kaukauna, from 3 p.m. on Thursday until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The Greenwood-Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, assisted the family with arrangements.

James R. Gustman passed away in Florida on January 12, 2011 at the age of 84 following a very brief illness. He was born on November 6, 1926 in Kaukauna, WI and remained a Fox Valley resident his entire life while spending his winters in Florida. His parents were Helen Gustman (Hunt) and Arthur August Gustman.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sally A., two children, Jane Herring (Vance) and Margaret Keough (Richard) and four stepchildren- Julia Severson (John), Jill Hubert (Mark), Kirk Pottner (Susie), and Christopher Pottner. In addition, Mr. Gustman had 11 grandchildren- Alison and Melanie Herring, - Thomas, Paige, and Madeline Severson; Paul and Christopher Richards, Emily Jones, and Katy Hubert; and Laura and Rachel Pottner. He is also survived by two brothers, David C. (Mary) and Thomas P. (Suzy).
Mr. Gustman was an active member of The Boy Scouts of America in his younger years and graduated from Kaukauna High School at the age of 16, where he won multiple state competitions in oratory and debate. As a student at Lawrence University, he was an active member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity and Debate Team; spending a summer honing his oratory skills at Northwestern University. After earning his BA of Science in Economics (class of 1948), he entered the United States Navy where he served on the USS Tidewater. He was very proud to be a life member of the VFW Post 9957 Flying Tigers under General Claire Chennault.
Mr. Gustman began working for his father at the Gustman Chevrolet dealership in Kaukauna in the 1940s, where he was later joined by his two brothers. His vision and dedication played an integral role in the expansion of the Gustman businesses. He loved the automobile business and continued to work with zest and passion his entire life, beginning with the formation of an automobile leasing and rental company (Midwest Car Corporation) in 1957. The first National Car Rental location opened in 1968 and later expanded to eleven additional states. In 2002, Midwest Car Corporation began the acquisition of Alamo franchises in all of its National locations. Over his lifetime, the Gustman dealerships expanded to five with the latest acquisition in 2004. Gustman companies employ 560 people.
He enjoyed membership in the local Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, Butte des Morts Country Club in Appleton (where he served multiple terms as President), and Turtle Creek Country Club in Tequesta, Florida. Jim was an original officer and board member of Air Wisconsin Corporation from its inception in 1968 and remained affiliated with the corporation for many years.Besides being a Packer fanatic who enjoyed many playoff games and super bowls through the years, he was an avid golfer and fisherman. His travels brought him around the world and his generosity with his family allowed them to experience these adventures with him. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and they in turn were inspired by his life lessons.
The family of James Gustman would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Denis Murphy of Palm Beach for his graciousness and expertise throughout the last few weeks along with the outpouring of sympathy from our friends and family.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, at St. Bernard Parish (1617 W. Pine St. Appleton, WI). Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. with a mass immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations can be directed to the Fox Valley Humane Society, American Cancer Society and Harbor House in Appleton.

Kaukauna - Pat Kenney, age 83 and a lifelong resident of Kaukauna, passed away at St. Paul Villa on Saturday evening, July 28, 2018. Pat was born in Kaukauna on March 24, 1935, son of the late Donald and Evelyn (Hoffman) Kenney. Pat attended Holy Cross School and was a 1953 graduate of Kaukauna High School. For six years, he served with the U.S. Army Reserve 291st Engineering Battalion.
Many will remember Pat for his decades of taking good care of his customers at Gustman's in Kaukauna. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1033 since 1951, and American Legion Post #258 in Little Chute. He was also a longtime and faithful volunteer for the American Heart Fund, and helped with their annual fund raising campaign.
Pat met the love of his life, Judy Hieptas, whom he married on July 5, 1958. Together, the couple had been longtime and active members of St. Katharine Drexel Parish (St. Mary's) in Kaukauna where he served as an usher for many years. Pat and Judy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2008, and Judy passed away in 2014.
He loved playing cards and his many fishing trips with family and friends.
Pat is survived by his four children: Colleen (Dave) Schmidt of Appleton, Don (Lynn Berglin) Kenney of Madison, Dan (Kathy Kempen) Kenney of Darboy and Dave (Sally Fassbender) Kenney of Kaukauna, ten grandchildren: Travis Schmidt, Trevor (Amanda Fedson) Schmidt, Trenton Schmidt, Turner Schmidt, Theresa (Brian) Sutfin, Steve Kenney, Laura Kenney, Alysa Kenney, Tyler Kenney, and Mariah Kenney. There are also three great-grandchildren: Sullivan, Jackson, and Frankie. Other survivors include two sisters: Donna Neudauer of Milwaukee and Sharon (Gerald) Schulz of South Carolina; a sister-in-law: Lisa (Kneepkens) Kenney of Kaukauna, and brothers-in-law John Hietpas of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Dan Mayer of Little Chute.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, brothers Tom Kenney and Emmett "Jack" Kenney, a brother-in-law Ed Neudauer, and sisters-in-law Chris Mayer and Toni Hietpas.
The funeral liturgy for Pat will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Donald Everts officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
