    Obituary:
Through the Lord's amazing grace, Jesus called Patrick home, embracing him in His loving arms on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. Released from sickness and now celebrating in his new heavenly body, Pat's got some serious catching up to do on his "to do" list: hunting, fishing; playing 5-handed sheepshead with grandma and grandpa Hoppy, uncle Ken and uncle Gene; playing "airplane" with all the babies, handing out Starburst to all the kids, eating the heavenliest chocolate, telling all the girls how cute they are, giving bear-hugs, "I love you's," kisses all around - and keeping busy until mom arrives with a new list.

Patrick was born in Appleton on Dec. 22, 1935, to the late Anna Mae (Mc Carthy) Ford. On Oct. 26, 1954, he was united in marriage to Audrey A. Hopfensperger in Pearl Harbor, H.I., and the couple has enjoyed 56 years together. Patrick proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He then worked as a Lead Meter Man for WE Energies for forty years, retiring in December of 1997.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey, Menasha; two sons, Timothy Patrick (Lisa) Long, Appleton; and Todd Kevin (Robin) Long, Menasha; two daughters, Jaye Michelle (Richard) Kuranda, Greenville; and Jill Suzanne (Derek) Hansen, Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, Patrick (Fiance Leisha), Melissa, and Robert (Tracy) Long, Stacey (Troy) Kasper, Matthew Long, Brittany and Jacob Kallin, Shephard Kuranda, Quinn, Paige, and Reese Hansen; five great-grandchildren, Isaac and Morgan Kasper, Noah Long, Kylee Long, and Devin Nault; sister, Suzanne (Fred) Schrader, Hasting, Minn. He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends - especially Bruce and Sue Kirk and Joe and Jan Monday.
A Memorial Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at St. John Catholic Church, 516 De Pere St. Menasha, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogan officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute. A memorial fund has been established.
We would like to thank our Prairie Home Family and John McCarthy whose staff and residents have become our family too. We would especially like to thank Julie and Tanya who sat at Pat's bedside all night for several days while he adjusted to his new home. Melissa who spent the last few nights sitting at his bedside, knowing this will be his final journey. The love and affection all the caregivers gave to Pat will forever be remembered. We would also like to thank Heartland Hospice who cared for Pat the past six months. Christine, Lisa, Barbie, Jane and our volunteer Steve - you will forever be a part of our memories.Brettschneider-
