    Seidl, Gerald J. "Jerry"
    Gerald J. Seidl, 75, lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at a local nursing home, following a long illness.
    He was born on Aug. 7, 1931, in Green Bay, son of the late Hilary "Curly" and Mae (Buyarski) Seidl.
    In July of 1956 he married Jane Zelten of De Pere. She passed away in 1968. On Aug. 23, 1969, he married Beatrice Vander Geeten of Green Bay. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1954. He was employed by Olson Trucking, Henri's Music, and was a sales representative until he retired. After retirement he drove limousine for Lamers, and was a driver instructor for Excel Driving School. Jerry enjoyed bowling, woodworking, dancing, and was a stand-up comic. For several years he served as bowling league secretary at Riviera Lanes. Jerry loved music and played guitar, piano, organ and accordion.
    Survivors include his wife, Bea; his five children and grandchildren, Barb (Clarence "Wick") Wickham, Grayson and Keegan, De Pere; Lynn Haim, Braden, Brett, and Tyler, Greenfield, Wis.; Pam (Paul) Joski, Joel and Erik, Green Bay; Julie (Greg) Meert, Josh, Nick, and Janelle, Green Bay; Patrick (Rhonda) Seidl, Leah, and Karissa, Green Bay. He is further survived by his stepchildren, Kathy Vander Geeten and Teal, Green Bay; Mary (Troy) Carpenter, David and Ryan, Apopka, Fla.; Paul (Bonnie) Vander Geeten and Brittany, Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    In addition to his first wife and parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Seidl.
    Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish prayer and scripture services at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Saturday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 p.m. at the church with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating, followed by military honors. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences can be sent to the Seidl family at www .prokowall.com.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established in Jerry's name.
    The family would like to express a special thank you to Unity Hospice, the Aging Resource Center, Curative Workshop, and Western Village. Jerry's children would also like to thank their mother, Bea, for the excellent, tender loving care she gave Jerry over the years.
