Obituary:
Dolores C. Roehrig, 85, of Chilton, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in New Holstein. Dolores was born March 15, 1931, daughter of the late Al and Jennie (Meyers) Hoerth. She married Lester F. Roehrig at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kloten on May 16, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2014. She was a long time member of St. Elizabeth Parish in Kloten, where she was a choir member, and was currently a member of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton. Dolores, along with her husband, operated a dairy farm and a farm to market milk route before furthering her employment with Chilton Metal Products for 25 years until her retirement. Following retirement, Dolores was a "runner" for Pat's Tire for 7 years.
In her free time, Dolores enjoyed making wedding cakes, playing a round of Sheepshead, doing woodworking projects, working on crafts, making hats for her grandchildren, Sturgeon spearing, and watching Wisconsin sports. She was a member of the German Club, but above all else she was a loving and devoted grandmother that cherished being involved with her grandkids and their activities.
Survivors include her children, Roger (special friend, Mary Krug) Roehrig, Paul (Debbie) Roehrig, Mary (special friend, Gary) Meyers, all of Chilton, George (Chris) Roehrig of Kaukauna; daughter-in-law, Carol Roehrig of Neenah; 12 grandchildren, Bryan Roehrig, Tim (Marcia) Roehrig, Elizabeth (Nick) Adcock, Mike Roehrig, Mark (Kari) Meyers, Chuck (Shelly) Meyers, Jennie (Andy) Zahringer, Matt (Samantha) Meyers, Geoff (Sara) Roehrig, Erika (Jeff) Mischo , Alex Roehrig, and Steven Roehrig; 7 great-granddaughters and a great-grandson, Samantha Meyers, Taylor & Megan Meyers, Lauren & Tessa Roehrig, Temperance Zahringer, Myla Meyers, Daxton Zahringer, and two on the way; a step-great-grandson, Tyler See; a brother, Clarence (Colleen) Hoerth; a sister, Carol Buelow; sisters-in-law, Elsie Dorn, Grace (Ken) Wirth, Shirley Roehrig, and Millie Roehrig; special sons, Dennis (Grace) Roehrig and Steve Penning; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lester, Dolores was preceded in death by her son, Dan Roehrig; son-in-law, Ron Meyers; brothers-in-law, Ralph Buelow, Leander, Edward and Richard Roehrig, and Ray Dorn.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church (120 Davis Street) in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley and Deacon Steve Vande Hey officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main Street) in Chilton Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 3:30pm to 7:30pm and on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge from 9:30am to 10:45am. A parish vigil service will take place Tuesday evening at the close of the visitation.
