Obituary:
Betty J. Kluge, age 88, of Hortonville, died on June 14, 2011, at Kindred Hearts in Manitowoc under the care of hospice. Betty was born on October 13, 1922, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Guy and Lydia (Muenster) Berzill. On April 25, 1942, she married Reno A. Kluge, who preceded her in death in 2000. Along with PeeWee Burns, Betty and Reno owned and operated the Hortonville Bakery for many years.
Betty is survived by her children: Guy (Cheryl) Kluge of Hortonville, Rick Kluge of Hortonville, and Bonnie (Larry) Tennie of Manitowoc; grandchildren: Lori (Terry) Tank, Todd Kloehn (special friend Theresa), Thad (Dawn) Kluge, Christopher Tennie, Susan (Tyson) Miller, and Mark Tennie; three great-grandchildren: T.J. Kloehn, Hunter Kluge, and Tyler Tank; two sisters: Lois Calmes and Cleo Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reno; daughter, Barb Kluge; granddaughter, Kelly DeGroot; as well as two brother-in-laws.
The Christian Funeral for Betty will be at 12 noon on Friday, June 17, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 203 N. Nash St., Hortonville. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A committal service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Mountain Cemetery, Mountain, Wisconsin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Kindred Hearts and Southern Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Kelly Ann DeGroot, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 28, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kelly was the daughter of Judy Kaddatz (the late Gene Kaddatz) and Guy (Cheryl) Kluge. She married her soul mate and love of her life, Rick DeGroot, on November 7, 1992. Rick and Kelly had a very special bond that was obvious to all who knew them. They enjoyed many special moments of their lives together, traveling and seeing the world. We all enjoyed listening to the funny stories they told of their adventures. Kelly was a very successful hairdresser with a vast, dedicated clientele. She had a unique talent of making everything she touched beautiful. From decorating their homes, all of the three salons she owned, to making all her clients feel loved and special. She had a contagious laugh, a fun, upbeat personality and could make a room light up when she walked in. She will be truly missed.
Kelly is survived by her mother, Judy (nee Fairchild) Kluge-Kaddatz of Appleton; her father, Guy (Cheryl) Kluge of Hortonville; her brother, Thad (Dawn) Kluge and nephew Hunter of Hortonville; her step-nieces and nephews; her step-brother and sisters: Rory, Roxanne, and Bobbie Sue and their families; her grandmother, Betty Kluge of Hortonville; her mother-in-law, Ann DeGroot; brothers-in-laws: Guy (Kathleen) DeGroot and their children, and Gary DeGroot; special cousin, friend and "sister" Stacey Thein; godchild, Lexi Thein; special second cousins Judy and John Robedeaux; her godparents, Rick Kluge and Peggy Holcomb; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Gene Kaddatz; her grandparents: Flavous and Emma Fairchild, and Reno Kluge; and step-grandparents: Elvin and Anna Mae Conrad.
A memorial service for Rick and Kelly will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, with Deacon Vincent DeGroot officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
