    Obituary:
    Kossman, Mabel V.
A few hours before midnight on July 27, 2011, Mabel V. Kossman passed from this life into life eternal while her daughter, Sara, held her hand.
She was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Stockbridge, daughter of the late Otto & Emma (Holzer) Wilson. She married Donald Kossman on July 25, 1951, in Quonset Point, R.I.; the couple recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Mabel was a wonderful mother who devoted her life to raising her children. As they grew older, Mabel began working as the custodian for the St. Mary Catholic Church and School. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary Parish, where she was actively involved in the church choir and devoted her time to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Catholic Knights, Daughters of Isabella, and various other civic groups. Mabel was a hard worker who liked to have fun. She and Don traveled a lot and followed many local polka bands around the country listening to their music and dancing arm in arm. Mabel was a doll collector, liked antiques and admired anything pretty. If she wasn't tending her large vegetable garden, there was a good chance she was devising her next practical joke or prank. Mabel will be remembered as a real sweetie who took time to chit chat with those she saw day to day and provide hugs that warmed a person's heart. She was an easy friend who laughed often and enjoyed every moment of life that was afforded her.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; her children, Stephen (Tracy) Kossman, Chilton; Sondra (Steve) Enstrom, Madison; Stanley (Candy) Kossman, Aurora, Colo.; Sally Zuelke, Chilton; and special friend, Mike Daniel, Scott Kossman, Chilton; and special friend, Yvonne Grantz, Sara (Jeffrey) Aplin, Wrightstown; ten grandchildren, Ben Enstrom, Eric Kossman, Abby (Adam) Lawrence, Jennifer (Joshua) Corbin, Adam Zeulke and special friend, Amber Rabe, Joshua Brandenburg, Danielle Kossman, Dustin Kossman, Seth Aplin, Alyssa Aplin; a grandchild of the heart, Heather Nett; two great-grandchildren, Domonic & Mikayla Kossman; and two brothers, Robert (Nancy) Wilson, and Norbert Wilson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Larry Zuelke; her three brothers, John, Bill and Lester Wilson; and three sisters, Verona Nabbefeld, Juanita Wyngaard and Gladys VerHagen.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kolloth officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 when the service will be held.
