    Victor James Lee Rhoden "VJ" "Vic", 67, Dale, passed away Wednesday, May 15th 2013, at home with his family by his side from complications from Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
    He was born on August 14th, 1945, "VJ Day" in New London, WI, son of the late Lawrence and Idella Mary (Kamps) Rhoden. He graduated from New London High School in 1963 and was looking forward to going to the 50th class reunion until ill health slowed him down. He served two years in the US Navy on the USS Canberra- CAG-2 as a radar specialist during the Vietnam War. After service he worked as a carpenter with his brother Jerry. He then worked at Melray, Thermo Electron, and presently at Pierce IPP Plant in the "mod" bay.
    He was a long time member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, New London.
    He is survived by his best friend and wife of 32 years, Mary. His children: Heather (Robert) Kaminski, Greenville, WI; David (Emily) Rhoden, Snohomish, WA; April (Nathan) Treague, Appleton, WI. His grandchildren: Alexander Kaminski and special friend Elizabeth Van Sistine; Daniel Kaminski; Zofia Kaminski; Aleksandra Kaminski; Leviticus Rhoden; Asa Rhoden; and grandpuppy Shiloh Treague.
    His siblings, Loraine Dixon, Muskegan, MI; Beverly Myers, Greenfield, WI; Rosalyn Oberstadt, New London; Florence Scholl, Shawano; Jerry (Beverly) Rhoden, Appleton; Ruth (Dick) Simpson, Clintonville; Cecilia (Pete) Dernbach, Antigo. Four sister-in-laws, Rita Rhoden, New London; Carolyn Rhoden, Milwaukee; Rosemary Rhoden, Appleton; Fumiko, Japan. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by siblings, Harold, Marion, Bill, Bob, LaVonne, Larry, and by special niece Kathy (Rhoden) Jezeski; In-laws Archie Dixon, Ernie Woeshnick, Cliff Myers, Ray Oberstadt, Orin Sommers, Rollyn Scholl.
    Funeral service for Vic will be held at 1:00 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, New London with Pastor Greg Watling officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at Cline & Hanson, New London from 5pm-8pm. Visitation also on Sunday, May 19th, from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in the Dale Union Cemetery, Medina, WI Hwy 96 for interment.
