    Wilmer H. "Willy" Schroeder, age 87, of 533 East Calumet St., Chilton, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Calumet County Medical Center, Chilton.
    Wilmer was born June 29, 1926 in the town of Chilton son of the late August and Anna (Hinz) Schroeder. Wilmer served in the United States Army. In December, 1973 Wilmer married the former Arlane L. Lee Skyberg in Chilton. She preceded him in death September 23, 2009. Wilmer was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Chilton. He worked for many years for the Calumet County Highway Department until his retirement in 1986. In his younger years he enjoyed playing cards, listening to polka music and following the Milwaukee Brewers.
    He is survived by five step-children: Pamela (Willie) Digby, Seagoville, TX; Debra Linzmeier, Fond du Lac; Elizabeth "Betty" (Cole) Keeler, Warroad, MN; Donna "Doon" (Gordy) Kaasa, Puposky, MN; James (Kris) Skyberg, Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers and Sisters-in-law: Vernon (Arlene) Schroeder, Potter; Alois (Elaine) Schroeder, Menasha; One sister: Dorothy Labitzky, Brillion; one brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Wayne (Gloria) Lee, Alexandria, MN; Dorothy Lee, Garfield, MN; DeLoris Wold, Alexandria, MN; Ruth Elie, St. Louis Park, MN; widow of Marlow Skyberg: Doris Skyberg-Tagg, Stacy, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Arlane; infant sister: Alverta Schroeder; one sister and brother-in-law: Delores and Harold Hartz; brother-in-law: Norman Labitzky; step-son: Marlow Skyberg; grandson: Jared Digby; two brothers-in-law: Norman Lee; Marvin Lee; two faithful companions: Freebie and Auggy.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, 717 Memorial Drive, Chilton, Rev. Jonathan Christensen will officiate with burial to follow at St. Luke's Cemetery, Chilton. Military graveside services will be accorded by Calumet County VFW Post #3153. Relatives and friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.     The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Century Ridge, Chilton for all the care and compassion given to Willy during the 13 years he resided there.

    Delores M. Hartz, age 81, of Hilbert, was called to her eternal resting place by our Lord, on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at her home with family by her side. She was born on November 29, 1927, in Chilton, daughter of the late August and Anna (Hinz) Schroeder. On September 22, 1956, she married Harold Hartz. Prior to her marriage, Delores was employed at Aluminum Specialty for six years. After their marriage, Delores lived on the Hartz Homestead and farmed with her husband. She was a devoted member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert, the Ladies Aid, and also a very active volunteer for the Shepherd's Attic and the Bethesda Home for many years.
    Survivors include her six children: Gary (Joan) Hartz, Sherwood; Laurie (James) Dennee, Appleton; Sheri (Doug) Fleischfresser, Oconomowoc; Julie (Chuck) Butler, Sheboygan; Kevin Hartz, Hortonville; Debbie (Jim) Guenterberg, Navarino; 12 grandchildren: Ashley and Lindsey Hartz, Jacqueline and Alexandra Dennee, Kayla, Whitney, and Nikolas Fleischfresser , Allison, Emily, and Megan Butler, Logan and Caleb Guenterberg; a sister, Dorothy (Norman) Labitzky; three brothers: Vernon (Arlene) Schroeder, Wilmer (Arlane) Schroeder, Alois (Elaine) Schroeder, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Dorothy (Carl) Riemer, and many relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, on February 14, 2002, her parents, a sister Alverta, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harvey and Janice Hartz.
    Delores loved gardening, baking, playing cards and spending time with family and close friends. She provided endless joy with her warm smile and willingness to give to others. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert with Pastor Brian Crane officiating. Burial will be in the Potter Cemetery. Friends may call at the church in Hilbert on Saturday from NOON until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in Delores's name. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the Hartz family with arrangements.
